Watched American Psycho again last night - love that movie :( Much naked Bale and my favourite murder scene ever;
"Is that a raincoat?"
"Yes! It is!"

Oh, gods...*shakes head*...I'm not willing to re-state my opinion on that flop of a movie yet again on this forum....but I must say this - it sucked!

Saw "The Black Dahlia." In a craptacular year at the movies, this was easily the crappiest. I haven't decided whether Josh Hartnett is a ****ty actor or he just takes ****ty projects, but his name on the marquee is the kiss of death.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I'll go for the former as the latter is definately not true in the Case of Black Hawk Down.. If it werent for Eric Bana, that movie wouldn't have had any cool actors..

Hey, he was tolerable in Sin City. Though that may be because he was in it for about five minutes.

(not a fan, but got to give him some credit for that)
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I saw a clip of Holly Valence's technically "nude" fight scene in DOA. Mind you, the adverts make it look terrible - some of the cgi certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Mind you, I've got a bucketloads of BOGOF cinema tickets atm. I need to go watch something...

I must agree that it wasn't such a great film. But surely there are worse! Little Man looks absolutely terrible...

The thing about The Black Dahlia is that it starts EXTREMELY slowly. But once some of the facts regarding the mystery were actually revealed, I quite enjoyed it. I'm not sure if I can say that it was worth watching the first hour/hour and a half for the last little bit though...

RE: Josh Hartnett - I didn't think any of the acting performances were particularly poor, and I actually thought he did a pretty good job. It was just that the script was a tad too slow and the lines were a tad too fast to allow the audience to get involved in the first part of the story.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Damn, i had some high hopes for that movie. Ok, hartnett isn't too hot, but i rather liked the book, johansson and swank can definitely act and brian de palma has made some good movies (scarface :morgoth:).

There's a new Bond film coming out. I wasn't informed of this. Looks like they're re taking the elements from the movie where Bond's wife gets killed (specificaly that element) and are building around it. Looks like he really falls in real love this time. Odd I don't see Bond in love. Anyway it's called Casino Royale. May or may not go see it.

Where have you been the last year and a half??!! :(

It's awfull if they actually marry the character again. Mind you I was getting even more scared when they were talking about letting a black actor play Bond. That's not a racist opinion, it would just be wrong. Like superman being a woman or letting a white guy play Shaft.

Or turning Starbuck into a woman *cough*.

Though I doubt they're going to marry him, looks more like the beginning stages of the relationship in the trailer. But it bugs me, after watching his wife get shot in a drive by, I seriously doubt he'd ever let himself get so close again.

I had to go all the way to page 5 to find this baby! It just goes to show the lack of quality films out over the last few months.

Anyone seen anything decent in the current releases? I want to go to the movies but don't want to see a dud. The last thing I saw was Children Of Men. It was alright. Novel storyline for todays cinema. I haven't read the book but it was obvious that there were huge swathes of information missing. Still, it stuck to the main theme and kept my attention for 2 hours. Could be a lot worse... except it made me dream about having babies for the next 3 nights *shudder*

The new one with Robin Williams was ok... I thought it was going to be all comedy, but they tried to put a friggen story and an action plot line!
