This is not a regular mini, so meat and potatoes fans will have to wait for that, unfortunately.
Q: What should I know before I sign up?
A: Aside from the standard stuff, there's this:
1. Iron Man.
You submit an order, it cannot be changed. We’re talking lead in the air here, after all. The same will most likely apply to votes.
2. Reveals.
No reveals. You may reveal who you submit stand-off orders for, and you may lie about this, but you may not reveal other orders, names, alignments, or abilities.
3. Timing.
24 hour days, unless the Harmonica Hombre cuts the day short.
Nights are theoretically zero hours long, but can be extended to the time needed for the mods to process all actions.
Q: what are the factions in the game? The Good and The Bad?
Nope, I added the Ugly as well, and for good measure, a senorita in need of saving, putting 4 factions in the game.
There are 6 members of the posse, 3 of them have an ability.
There are 5 members of the gang, 4 of them have an ability.
There’s 1 hostage, she has no abilities and cannot participate in stand-offs.
There’s 1 harmonica hombre, he has several abilities including the option to go to night whenever he likes, (but only after everyone has posted on thread at the least once).
He cannot participate in stand-offs and his vote does not count.
Victory conditions:
Posse: achieve numerical superiority by outnumbering the gang + Harmonica Hombre in a 2:1 ratio.
Gang: achieve numerical superiority by outnumbering the gang + Harmonica Hombre in a 2:1 ratio.
Harmonica Hombre: if the number of other players left alive the end of a song (after the lynch) is lower than 6, you win. This beats both the Posse and the Gang victory conditions.
Hostage: must survive, and this will not break other victory conditions.
Abilities:
There are no finders, guards, symps, healers or lynch proofs in the game.
All roles can either kill a player directly, conditionally kill another player, or affect stand offs.
Q: So, Tapper, what's that stuff about the stand offs that you throw around?
A: the Mexican Stand-off is a mechanic. I'm not going to reveal it now, but it is described as:
In popular culture, the Mexican standoff is often portrayed as two (or more) opponents with weapons aimed at each other, such that each opponent feels equally threatened and does not believe he can strike first without endangering his own life; not only does any initial shot decisively destroy the unstable equilibrium of multiple deterrence, shooting any one person takes one's aim away from the other opponent.
The Mexican standoff has been used in many film genres such as spaghetti westerns or action films. Famous cinematic examples can be seen in the 1960s classics The Good, The Bad And The Ugly or Once Upon a Time in the West, as well modern movies like Die Hard or Reservoir Dogs and at the end of Enemy of the State.
Also, see John Woo's The Killer and Face/Off.

* = the game will use a 24 hour modkill limit, and any mod kill can cause an instant win, so I'd like replacements to take over from people failing to post in time.
