To all soon-to-be-stimulated Aussies... ...what are you spending your Rudd money on?

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone and upgrading parts of my computer.

financially speaking, using it to wipe out debt is good too.
no debt = no interest or minimum repayments = more spending money per month.

Not old enough AIJ? I don't think it matters. All you need is a tax liability which means you had to have earnt above the first tax threshold, which is like...$6000 or so? That's like a bit under $150 a week. And you need to have lodged a tax return for '07-'08 by June 30. Easy peesy lemon squeezy. Although if you're like 16 now then you probably wouldn't have been working back then lol.
Good luck convincing "Mumsy dearest" to give up her Rudd money haha everyone I know (including parents) are gonna spend that money as soon as it pops up in their accounts. If that doesn't work, maybe you could sell your silver tongue? It obviously wouldn't be very useful otherwise

I got a ps3 so I don't really need a blu-ray player. Plus it's a little extra, and I'm already $600 over budget.

Dude, even if I could apply for a job, I wouldn't. As some great man once said somewhere, laziness trumps all emotions.
I will not, however, sell my silver tongue. It was a gift. From your mum/yourgirlfriend/your sister/other female relative still young enough to be attractive.

You make it sound like it's a bad thing. It is, as Tehol Beddict once said (another great man, not our friendly resident female), school is replete with stern tutors and youthful crushes. Not to mention $1 cookies.
-AIJ, is feeling quite awesome despite no moneez

Off topic, but since it's a large congregation of Aussies here and I am Aussie myself, I wanted to ask how the general feeling for Rudd is?
I was a huge Howard fan but missed out on seeing what Rudd could pull out of his ass as I moved to the States.
Or PM it to me because I don't want to hijack the thread lol.

Rudd's doing alright policy-wise I guess, but he's gotten a bit of a PR problem in recent months. He's sworn on national television, flipped out at an air hostess and has pretty much been out of the country since he took office. But he'll remain popular regardless, because Turnbull in office...? *shudders*

Oh no shit. What was the deal with the air hostess?
Furthermore, hows the economy holding up? I heard the housing market was in some deep shit a couple months back. In QLD atleast.

All politicians are bastards but if he keeps giving me free money, I'll vote for him.
Also, I'm buying some new golf clubs with my 900.
