Clearly Grub is the character who is most likely to survive by far.

Otherwise I think

Krubbe,
Picker,
Duiker,
Deadsmell

Karsa Orlong (obviously, he is needed for Toblakai Trilogy)
Grub (for equally obvious reasons)
Dassem Ultor (this is only beginning of his story)
Aragan
Nimander Golit

Fiddler
QB
Nimander
Kallor
Toc (after dieing and being resurrected.... again, this may happen several more times in fact. The mans as bad as Rhulad, but I digress)

I suspect Aragan will sacrifice himself to save the world and must then face the worlds greatest headache for all eternity whilst locked in a giant rift

If people keep choosing characters who AREN'T in the Malazan Empire I'M going to have a headache that lasts forever. [/pedant]
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Braven Tooth (the man's uncanny)
Kalam (because you can't kill class)
Quick Ben (too slippery by far)

Let's see...

Udinaas-He seems to be safer than most in the Refugium and all those ascendants who took interest in him are gone.
Tehol-A man in a blanket always survives.
Keneb-Call it a feeling.
Corabb-No brainer
Kruppe-Someone's gotta tell the story, right?

And there are many more, imo.
Suck it Errant!

Obviously Cotillion and Shadowthrone (weak, I know) or I will cry and cry and cry. The story should end with everyone's bodies littered around them, and one of them simply shrugs and says, "Wanna play poker?"

Ahh... perfect.

Oh, and Grub.

I reckon ST and Cot will survive...but end up going off somewhere else. You know, out of the realm.

Hmm, not sure about Gothos.

I can see him surviving if he stays like he is, but also think he could end up sacrificing himself. Same with Kallor, cause he seems to be changing.

Our Bridgeburner will perish! trust me there will be alot of war to come and at the end I think only Fiddler will remain, he will remain so that he can make a ballot for the rest of them, so he can use his fiddle to play some music for them. QB Kalam will all go! so will Tay! most of the malazan legends will die.

if we can pick ST and Cotts can we pick Rake?

in a way hes not dead, thats a whole different argument! when he died i wanted him to come back but now looking at the way he went, I hope to god SE does not revive him in a lacklusting Itkovian kind of way.

Tavore will die for sure! she will know that she killed Feselin before the end.

to pick 5.

- Kallor: he will outlive all this, he might get imprisonned or something but I have a good feeling he will sneak his way out of this and come face to face with his arch enemies and might just lead to there demise again.. Kallor living will leave the readers in awww, some will hate it some will love it but I think that Kallorsa safe bet to be alive. He might even end up to be somewhat of a decent person before the end.

- Silchas Ruin: Mother darks own, has alot to live upto, with knowing what Rake did for the world he will have big shoes to fill, despite what people might think, Rake always had Ruins respect and vise versa, he will do his brother proud, he might be the cause of some birdge burners dying but we shall see what side he plays on. But he will survive, this child of mother dark has been alive a long long time and witnessed far worser situations so this is a safe bet! will SE take all of mother darks children? wh knows, but its still a safe bet.

- Karsa: I feel like Karsa will be doomed in the end but my instincts say he will out live it all and lay witness Siege to all Wulings. Karsa is also a safe bet! he will leave more of a mark alive than dead. Yes if he dies then we will look at him as this crazy warrior who did this and that and how awesome he was. But if he actually makes people witness to his procolamations and he lives he wud have more of an impact. Although him dying while telling the witch " witness this last time" something along that line will bring some tears out of even the karsa haters.

- Fiddler: as stated above

- Dassem/Traveller: the greatest swordsman ever cannot die. Who knows. This isnt a safe bet but my logic is " u killed Rake, u better fucking live mofo!! " - on a side note Rake was a better swordsman, but thats a whole different argument.

There are alot of safe bet charachters who will live: Nimander, Endest Silann, the Andi Emos, Spinnock!! Karsas Witch ( for some reason having a brain freezee on chracter names), Cotts and ST ( one of them might sacrifice themselves for the greater good, most likely cotts) and alot of the secondary and smaller chracters, but I was trying to stay as main chracter as I could.

- Son of Darkness himself. I have seen the future so I know who lives and dies =)

Endest Silann didn't die, if I recall properly. He was saved in extremis by Nimander's and MD's intervention

Weak attempt buddy.

To answer your question yes I did read it and properly!

there is speculation that Rake did not die with his sacrifice. When Apsalar ( the theief) handed him the dagger before he left, that made some people believe it was to give Rake a piece of WU so he perhaps he might return, thats all speculation and debate. But I hope he does not come back.

Endest from my knowledge did not die. did U read it properly? I beleive he was becoming very weak while defending the Andi Lair and at the very end MD showed up and put an ass whooping on Clip, well not really. She came she said who she was and Clip shat his pants.

Now can you tell me where Endest passes away?
