I didn't really see that conversation consisting of each side claiming superiority over the other... but... yeah, off-topic in some instances.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I agree, which is why I'm not even going to bother getting involved!

I'll just say i spent 2 weeks in dublin over christmas break with my gf's family and got along with all 20of them and had a great time with all of them. The ONLY real difference in any of us was our accents.

People are people wherever you go, some will be assholes, some will be nice. We can argue about who's worse and who's better till we bleed out the ears, but people are people.

The problem with moving a spontaneous debate to an official topic. :D

The conversation does need to be centralized. I think I've said all I have to say though. I'll sum it up real quick: Stereotypes are stupid. Don't apply them to me or you will anger the Yacht. I will do the same for you in return.
