I can play Russia until HD gets back if it would help the game. I'm fairly n00bish though, as I've never played a full game of Diplomacy before, but it looks like I'm already in a shit position so I guess that doesn't matter Maybe I could rope someone in to help me out

I have no idea about alliances or all that jazz though, as I haven't been following this game. If someone could bring me up to speed...?

I'm happy to let you take the reigns of Russia, you might want to work together with Grief once he's kicked out... he's bordering death.

Not having played a full game isn't a hindrance - the main problem is your board position (and it will significantly diminish your fun, sadly), but a bit of mid-game wheeling and dealing might help .
