haha, now I look like an idiot. Posted Image

My two predictions about Vermont and Kansas were wrong. To be fair, I never expected Vermont to beat Syracuse, just some pre-game bravado for my
team. But that Kansas loss was completely unexpected.

GO BUTLER GO!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

The Cuse choked! My brackets are really shot now. At least I can still get some points out of Kentucky. Oh well, time to root for the Cinderellas!

There aren't going to be many neutral fans at the Final Four at all!

How the hell did that happen? You guys are awful at these things! :p

I had no idea. You could have told me anybody had won and I'd believe them, other than me. I just checked! Lol.

I haven't seen a more poorly officiated game in a while. This is awful. Simply fucking awful.

Dick Vitale thinks:

"There is no way Butler holds Duke under 70."

Color me neither surprised, nor impressed with his analytical skills.

"There is no way Butler wins if if all 3 (Scheyer, Singler, Zubeck) score over 15."

Color me astounded, again.

How about we just put a fucking Duke hat on Dick Vitale whenever he is on tv. Generally, I am mildly annoyed by announcers/color commentators that show a bias, but I don't have a major problem with it. They have a story they are generally presenting while the game is happening, and whether that story happens or not, the story is simply altered that way.

Dick Vitale takes this trope to the next fucking level. I despise him. I loathe him. I wish he had absolutely no airtime on any television network, ever. He is a patently ACC biased joke who does one thing well: Front Jimmy V's cancer project. If I could delete his presence from any basketball I would.

If some young buck out there can create an anti-Vitale program, I'll deem him a "diaper-dandy" and speak in histrionics about him for next 5 months as though he is the second coming of Jesus of Nazareth.

In case you didn't notice: I don't like Dick Vitale. At all.

After having watched his poorly analyzed diatribe and masturbation of Duke for the second time, I can honestly stick by everything above. Loath and despise are words that I don't choose emotionally. I choose them purposefully.

If Dick Vitale had to make love to a school, he'd screw Duke, and then speak sweet nothings into its ears until a squalling, rich, privileged, and overhyped baby said it's first word: "BBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS."

I guess I was a little upset with Dick Vitale last night. I would say that it was a little overblown, but then up pops Dukie V. on tv saying Butler's in big trouble whether Matt Howard plays or not.

Oh, Dukie V.

Ps: I'm proud of my drunken Dick Vitale/Duke sex statement. I amuse myself.

Yeah, it's too bad. At least Butler had the chance to win it, twice. Better than a blowout.

Man, is this the last time you guys discussed March Madness? I'm a little disappointed in you guys. I was under the impression Malazan Empire regulars were well rounded individuals, with a wide spectrum of interests touching many different topics. Not really though. Posted Image

Anyway. The 2018 championship game tonight was not all that exciting, tbh. Villanova's offense was just too much for Michigan. DiVincenzo for 'Nova was lights out. Second national championship for Villanova in three years. Kudos to them.

I always look forward to and love the "One Shining Moment" segment that happens at the end of the championship game every year. It makes me happy, but also fills me with a feeling of melancholy. Maybe because it coincides with the ending of winter and beginning of spring and knowing that the school term is coming to an end and summer will soon be upon us. Which definitely is a cause for celebration (who doesn't love spring into summer and the warmer weather?), but I dunno, it just plucks at those certain emotions in me that leaves me somewhat sad / thoughtful / inward examining and such.

Here's this year's. Enjoy
