@ D'riss No worries, it's late and mistakes will be made, let's just hope it's not in not lynching the right person.

This was the last post of the day.

Day is over.

Will do vote count, then look at the messages in the inbox. You got 30 extra minutes because I have OCD and I wanted it to end on the hour.

Remember there is no night, any posts after the quoted one with vote counts do not count until the morning scene.

D'riss, change your avatar back before I tell Hetan and Mal you ruined their hard work on these things.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Is that right? I think its right. Let me know if it isn't, but it dosen't appear you lynched anyone so it dosen't matter.

After a long and peaceful sleep on what might be your last night, you awaken to a scream. Someone has found the bodies.

There is lettering under the first body... spelled out in blood is the phrase 'why me again?' Kessobahn is dead. He was masquerading as a rhinocerous and someone took his tusks.

The second body is broken in half and Fener appears to have died from internal hemmoraging. He couldn't hide in the errant's temple any longer.

There are 36 hours and 0 minutes left in Day 2.

These 15 are alive: Anomandaris, D'riss, Emurlahn, Galain, Galayn Lord, Gamelon, Kaschan, Korlat, Mockra, Omtose, Rashan, Serc, Silanah, Telas, Tennes

8 votes to lynch, 8 for night.

Hmm Kesso and Fener? Kesso was quite aggresive yesterday, I recall he got into an argument with a couple people.

Can't help but notice both voted D'riss but its WIFOM.

Does anyone think there is something in the Rhinocerous thing? I'm just curious as Shadow was a Human. And both Human and Rhino were bolded... Strange coincedence really if its just nothing.

So Shadow was a human, Kess was a Rhino and Fener was a medical problem

And

vote Telas

for making his only game-significant post of the WHOLE GAME so far, his only strong opinion, his only decision, on a coin toss, or at least that's what he says.

I mean, really?

... really?

Hmm, Fener was a good killer candidate IMO, that could be a funny turn of events.

Two people dead after voting for D'riss? Odd. If D'riss is innocent, it would imply that both killing factions separately decided to 'frame' him. This seems unlikely to me. If D'riss is guilty, it would imply that an opposing faction have him pegged as innocent. Either way, plenty of WiFoM, but it's pushed D'riss up my suspect list.

I think I need to wrangle this in my head. I'm not quite sure that is the right conclusion to draw.

It took me some time to catch up, so I have to go work now for a bit.

My vote on Telas is serious, his behavior at the deadline adds to all his posts yesterday that I quoted together.

Still, there might be a better candidate, I'll check when I come back.

As for Anomandaris, I don't see why he freaked out like this. Korlat says the truth when he says that a good symp will never point to his masters, there is no pedantry in that. Whether you conclude that Korlat is saying that to cover his mistake or not, that's part of the game.

Smart killers. When would you have been able to make anything out of a non-CF kill result, by the way? Everything in there apart from 'X is dead' is filler.

After getting that rubbed in in the last few hours of the past day by D'riss and others, there's been a lot of rubbing in when it concerns you, you should really have known better than post this statement.

I agree with GL on Telas (as well as the symp stuff... catching killers would be a lot easier if we could always deduce who the symp was symping for, after all). I mean, seriously, a coin toss?

Bloody hell. If a player doesn't even have an opinion whether or not a lynch on day 1 in general is a good thing, but decides to depend on luck to make the decision... meh. It at the least means you are not fully convinced of someone's innocence, otherwise, you should have refused to vote for him, and people might have switched to either D'riss or Korlat. But he didn't. Why?

Thing is, it is not stand-alone. If it was, I could have dismissed it as an inability to deal with the pressure of hammering someone he didn't believe was guilty. But, Telas has been keeping close to the ground in everything so far and hasn't had an outspoken opinion, and this 'toss' could easily have been a not so clever disguise of an unwillingness to hammer. Whether or not it was. But I'm doubting it way too much to believe it was an 'accident'. Playing non-committal in a very open and informative day 1/ game environment is a skill, too.

So:

vote Telas

Telas even has the most posts in the game so far :sofa:

Re-reading the last hours, I see this:

OK fine, Silanah and D'riss should be talking their asses off at the moment, persuading people the other lynch is the better one. After thinking hard about it, I am not too sure about the lynch on Silanah. If you think about it this way:
1 Korlat is quite aggressive and loud, attracts attention -> he probably isn't scum, seems to me at least inno trying to get reactions
2 Silanah notices this, discards the idea that Korlat is actually an evil genius and scum acting this way to befuddle us, PIs Korlat.
3 Korlat, in a fit of pique, throws out a sarcastic comment which somehow gets interpreted by people completely lacking in any notion of sarcasm it seems that he is revealing finder.
4 Silanah sees silliness going on, which is slowly turning into a train on someone he thinks is inno, so he tries to disabuse the misguided people of their notions.

This all seems quite logical to me. The one thing that people say is that he defended too hard. But consider this, if you are pretty sure that someone is inno, would you not also fight for them, even if it meant putting yourself out there? I would, because Mafia is a team game, and the more of us who are still alive to lynch the killers, the better chance we have of winning.

fuck, is there enough of us to pull off a D'riss lynch?

What is that comment about? Does it means he's willing, but not sure, or that there's not even a point trying? And then he votes:

fuck it
vote Korlat

i'm gonna be around till deadline (another 40 mins), so i'll switch to hammer if it's really necessary

but this what my gut's been telling me all day
granted, my gut feelings are generally way off, but it's still day 1..

Really? Someone wants to lynch D'riss and you lecture about numbers, then you add a vote on Korlat, who is even further away?

Oh, and look at your cute "I'll switch to hammer if it's really necessary"
