The Characters we love to hate

There are many threads on favorite characters, and maybe this one has been done, but what characters do you hate: Which ones would you like to die a horrible gruesome death?
For me, and many may disagree it is:
1.Kallor- I cant believe no one has killed this guy yet, I began to see his logic a bit more in tth but I still hate the guy and wish someone would kill him already.
2. Korbolo DOm- Why havent the Wickans assassinated this bastard yet, or anyone else for that matter. What he did with Coltaine....
3. Skinner- I know a lot of people like this guy, but something about him pissed me off.
Others would include-cant remember his name right now, but that guy in house of chains that slaver the one that lost his hands to Karsa.

sometimes I wonder if the gift of revelation, of discovering the means underlying humanity, offers nothing more then the devastating sense of futility, it is the ignorant who find cause and cling to it, for within that lies the illusion of significance-steven erikson.

The Chancellor of the Lether Empire and the Envigilator. Oh fuck how I hate those two!

Also known as Triban Gnol & Karos Invictad.
Clip's annoyance is fantastically horrific.
Also, Ghelel makes me want to shoot someone in the face. Just saying.
Edit: I'm an idiot.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

1. The Errant;
2. Sister Spite - I'm an Envy fanboi and that means you're against Spite;
3. I absolutely detested Felisin (the Elder, although the Younger wasn't much better) and to a lesser extent, Heboric.
Kallor, Clip, Dom... they're delusional bastards convinced of their superiority and the rights their superiorioty should grant them, but I don't hate them for it. Same with Mallick Rell, who is a cunning snake, but not emo about it - unlike the Errant (in RG).
Gotta agree with Apt on the sick duo of RG. I had a very hard time reading all their cruelty.

Sorry Apt, but its true.
No matter how many "deep" pronouncements he makes and how other characters are surprised by him, he is still a character filled with nothing but certainty of his mission to destroy civilisation. And that is no better than what the Pannion Domin set out to achieve.
Remember Erikson's tirades against the evils of certainty?

Yeah, it's weird how long he's lasted, considering the reaction to Paran when he was first put in charge of the BB's - it seemed then like it was usual for an incompetant, arrogant or plain stupid commander to get a knife in the back before too long. All the soldiers fighting under Dom would have known he was all three - surely someone would have taken him out.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Well, he had his own surrogate squad of Claws when in the Rebellion... could hardly imagine a better group of individuals to guard your back. Besides that, men like Dom attract men who lack the brains to work for themselves.
Also, I think being a vicious bastard does not equate getting knifed.
Otherwise, captain Kindly would have been handed his kidneys long, long ago. Some of the earliest references to Greymane were less than savoury as well - murdering his own command, if I'm not mistaken. Seems the Malazan army likes officers who are as mean as some of the squads they command.
Rather, people like Faradan Sort and Paran are listed to 'have an accident': mostly I think because they are not perceived as a soldier's officer. Dom has his failures, but none can deny his bravery and natural aggression.

1 Pearl the Claw
2 Call her Surly, call her Laseen, dont care what you call her, I am just glad she is dead.
3 Rhulad , I really disliked him even before he and the sword became an item...
4 The Errant
5 Not crazy about Smiles either

I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter at the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...."

Amen to the Mhybe, not only cause she's so annoying to read. But what a waste of Murillio and Coll.
And i dont know how anyone can not like Karsa.
I dont know why, but reading Possum in RotCG did nothing for me, did not find him interesting at all.

i must say that i don't 'hate' any characters per se, but pearl the claw also was not a very pleasant fellow to know for me... treacherous and stupid and to top it all off a coward unable to accept reality. how he was deserving of lostara yil's love i'll never know

I didn't expect Rake and Karsa to be on here, I had kind of hoped they would fight eachother though.
Another one I hated was B'idithal

I've always hated Kruppe. He's never made me laugh & he's the reason TtH was my least favourite Malazan book.
