warning-extreme fringe character alert....

am I misstaken or was Jorrick Sharplance not mentioned in ROTCG? He was mentioned in GOTM as winning a couple of small victories over the Malazans in a conversation between Kalor and Brood. Also it is insinuated that he was the mercenary that saved the iron merchant that wants to have all malazans in Dajurustan assasinated. Cant remember his name, its like Humble Measure but I think that is a TTG shareholder. The Dramatis Personae in GOTM has him as an officer of the Crimson guard. I was just surprised that he didnt make an appearance. I was assuming he is avowed but only because he was an officer in the Crimson Guard. Do we know of any officers that are not avowed? Do you think the Dramatis Personae is a mistake?

I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter at the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...."

i think jorrick was an investiture man who proved to be an able commander, could be he decided to stay behind on his native genabackis (not entirely sure of that just guessing) when the guard left. could be he's dead

He was mentioned in TtH. I'd say he's dead or missing, since he seemed like a powerful warrior.

Maybe the Barghast adopted him.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Maybe he was in the 4th company that virtually got wiped out on Assail. Might read about him in later books

I doubt he was in the 4th. They were on Lether before GotM, and Jorrick Sharplance was around in GotM. I doubt he got back by himself.

Very possible, In GOTM Brood says that Jorrick is leading 5,000 Barghast and 6 blades of Crimson Guard, he then says he is Crimson Guard, "allthough the Barghast claim him as their own."
