Yeah, that's the recipe for healthy and superior athletes. Beer and bacon fries. Got it.

You'll never take Pabst!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

It's just not very good. It'd be around 4 pounds for a 24 pack in England. Strange thing is though, for some reason there were rich folk out in California who thought it'd be fun to beer slum for a while and it became a kind of craze out there.

I'd never wish Steel Reserve on anyone.

Not sure, is it Rangers or Celtic that play for the city of Scotland?

America is not all the crap beer you guys make it out to be. Sure, it's predominantly watered-down commercial swill, but there's plenty of respectable breweries making good stuff.

Tons of microbreweries across the state.

Some good beers that spring to mind around here: Ithaca Beer, Magic Hat, Saranac, Pete's Wicked, Impaled Ale, Middle Ages, Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog. Sam Adams.

I guarantee nobody mistakes any of those for Bud or Coors or any commercial beer.

Normally i'd argue for anything american even if i didnt believe it cause, you know, thats how we are. But commercial american beer is pretty lame. But SS is right, you just have to know where to find the good places who make their own.

I might still have argued except i spent 2 weeks in Dublin over christmas drinking smithwicks, murphys, guinness and it was heaven. :o

I think the word Rugby comes from Rug - (Ba)by. I.E., babies crawling around the rug.

Case closed!
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

If someone properly amuses me, I'll slant the poll results any which they like.

Hockey is just Canadian males excuse to ice-skate.

Edit: That's more of a blind plea for slanting, actually. But, some people find groveling humorous.
Double edit: I beg no man!

Just so you know, Sam Adams is now the largest American brewery....and it's absolutely not crap.

The genius of American beer comes from the craft brewers and microbrewers. Bud, Natural, Coors and the rest are only good for drinking games since they're less filling.

Oh, and Rodeo...Do you really want RUGBY to beat out FOOTBALL???? I don't think I need to further explain myself....do what's right.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I find all sports insanely boring to watch on TV, but I've seen both semi-pro rugby and CFL football live and I gotta say American football is way more entertaining. By a long shot.
