Well, there's delicious irony in Galain and Kaschan being on the same team. SH must be a glaring match, right now.
So, what of today? HP being Fire would be in my top 5 of worst distancing ever. Don't know what to make of it.
Don't know what to make of Serc, either - but I do have a sneaking suspicion Kessobahn could be right.
There's really something to be said for the explanation that he ordered death, as his predictions turned out true - but he is also right in that they were the most obvious targets... it's not like a gambler would think they'd survive for long.
However, for someone to die, they have to be targeted. And people who are suspicious like Galain and Korlat can usually be lynched, so why go to the effort of targeting them at night? A few people must have really wanted to get rid of them. I'm running in circles on this one.
In other news: my time online today is very limited. All 3 secretaries are absent, so I have to do a lot of extra stuff to get things done before the weekend. I'll remain a low poster for a while

Bad news guys - Anomandaris has requested a modkill due to real life issues. I am currently recruiting a replacement and will keep you informed.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

edit: in response to Serc questioning my finding others claims of BM suspicious and then apparently doing the same myself...
*sigh* let me put it another way - or rather, repeat what I said about it yesterday...Korlat's claim was believable because he seemed really frustrated and out of his depth. Whether or not he was a noob was beside the point from my perspective. I believed him when he said he was a BM and figured others would agree with my assessment, therefore making him a safe target for the 14 other BM's - it was like diving into a shark tank with a hunk of bloody meat.
Rashan claimed believably in terms of content - he had the perspective of a BM right, but being that he was obviously thorough, he would have thought about the possibility of drawing the attention of all those killers by claiming BM and so it only makes sense to do so if one's rank were higher. Hence my continuing doubt about his claim.
The above two claimed directly, ie. 'I'm a Blackmask', which is different to my mind from 'I'm not a leader' plus 'I'm not a 7th'. Maybe I was a bit tunnel-visioned on this point but understand I was just trying to work out a safe target for night, since I figure it's better to be active from the get-go rather than wait around to be greased without having flexed my killing muscles. Today is a new day and if I survive it, I'll be looking for another target. If I don't, I'll rest easy knowing that my efforts on behalf of my faction bore some fruit and my leaders are still safe for another night and another attempt at knocking off an opposing leader

Personally I feel claiming is jsut about the worst thing you can do in this game, as it lets everyone else know whether they can safely kill you or not. I don't really understand why people are doing it.
Sure, it's better to not be a leader during the day when people are getting lynched, but letting people know that opens you up to getting killed at night easily.
Of course people are going to lie, which throws in some WiFoM into it. But anyone claiming when not under threat is either a liar or slightly suicidal.

Omtose, you're one of our highest posters. But I can't remember anything useful you've said, you ended yesterday without voting for anyone, and you're not voting for anyone today. Why is that? Are you trying to not give anything away?

OK, I'm leaving in 10 minutes and will be away for several hours. I'm happy to answer any questions when I get back so do try not to speed-lynch me

I can't remember Omtose posting that much either. Strange.
I'm growing to think that there are definitely leaders in that group of very low posters who are hiding out to avoid attention, and to be fair, it seems sensible seeing as we've lost all the day 1 catalysts.

Well I see the thread has quietened down quite a lot now. Still we got a while to go before night anyway.
The only thing I remember of Omtose was I believe he defended Kaschan, I had him marked down as being on Kaschan's team. Now that is useless
I guess now is the time to go back and look at people, but Day 1 is pretty much useless to us, so its just poking around in the dark and see if anyone has a slip that was missed.

I think I found a slip.
Fener at one point starts quoting from Vanilla Ice songs in a duet with Shadow, and he does so seven times. Clearly he is Ice's 7th.*
*Disclaimer: I may be making stuff up out of boredom.
Oh man. I've found signs here and there that certain people may be connected but there isn't any real way of knowing which team they are on. They could be on my team for all I know. This feels like day 1 all over again.

Galayn Lord also had a line somewhere of icicles falling from rooftops and being deadly.

My eyes hurt from reading all this, and I have real-life stuff to attend to.
I'm thinking it'd be nice to get rid of Korlat, Kaschan, and Galain, just to cut down on the amount of posts, but I'm probably a bit biased from having so little time to play today.
Anyways, off to clear more snow ...
(My vote stands, of course)

After my re-read I came across this
Anybody else find this a little suspicious?
I think he has a total of 8 posts in the game, seems to be a leader in hiding to me.
That's one hell of a catch on Serc, Kesso. I have a hard time believing it coincidence. The three people Serc wanted dead are the three people who havedied so far.
Has anyone found any other evidence on Serc?

If there's a problem, yo, I'll solve it

Right, time to have a look over HP's posts.
EDIT: Crosspost with D'riss. The above post means I'm here.

Alright, Fener. What do you think about this Serc case?
#1377
Posted 12 February 2009 - 02:30 PM
The reason why there isn't much to discuss around Serc is that they haven't posted that much.
So the only two things you have on Serc are the 'hit' on all the dead people, and the fact that being a low poster is a good place to lay low from attention really.

Okay, the only thing I have found on serc is:
THIS.
He essentially voted Kaschan, pointed out that some of these supposed deflectors could be just annoyed with Galain, and that he is not among those aforementioned potential deflectors.
He said absolutely NOTHING about his vote choice.

Hmm...not sure about the Serc case. It's not like people would have needed instructions to take out Kaschan, Korlat and Galain, after all - everyone could see they were being suspicious already. Now if it was someone slightly off the radar who happened to die then the case would be stronger, but those guys were producing enough stuff for me to think that they'd have died anyway regardless of something Serc said.
