Granted. And because I'm in a good mood, it's been erased from your memory and made space for something very enjoyable. No small print.

I wish I get finally over my reader's block and can pick up Dust of Dreams and finish the series. But I can't. I cannot pick up the book and read it. I forget how to pick up books, not to mention I forget I know how to read when I get close to that book. And I enter some sort of stasis too. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
but are they worth preserving?

Done. But once you're finished the series your life is cold and empty and meaningless.

I wish there were an effective, realistic and workable way for well-meaning nations to intervene in Syria.

Granted. Because the wish for peace is a selfless wish you get another one for free.

I wish that I had more time to watch movies...

You will have all the time you need, but you can only watch one movie.

I wish that I didn't need to learn C/C++.

Granted. In a tragic accident you not only lose your capability to speak, but both hands and all your toes. No need to interface with computers anymore!

I wish could have 1 month where I needed no sleep and was in perfect mental and physical health despite this temporary insomnia.

You receive awesome fish tacos. Unfortunantally the wait staff at the taco place holds a gun to your head and forces you to service the entire staff with your mouth before you can eat the tacos.

I wish I had a new car.

Granted that damned thing just simply worked. It worked pretty well actually. So well you and the thing are easily famous, sadly as it was a thing attributing fame for thing related tasks it had an inevitable existential crisis and moved to Tibet to better understand thinghood. leaving you thing-less. my condolences.

Granted you are now going to the dentist on Saturday and chasing that visit with a kick in the pills VIA an old lady at a bus stop who called you a masher. It's not her fault, you were the one who hit on her. Enjoy!

I wish I was eating perfectly good, non-rotten, tasty, reasonably priced, no altered ingredients, no diseases attached, no stomach churning or diarrhea-inducing effects... Chipotle Burrito right now.

Granted. Except that it's only granted in the context of this silly text-only internet game thing thus leaving you burritoless and hdeously frustrated in any sense of reality that matters. Sucks to be you.

I wish it was Friday in my current time zone.

Granted.

However, due to a quirk in the time space continuum
[caused by the time travelling machinery used to move you only being moderately effective]
(since scientific progress only goes "boink!" after all ;) :p )

It is Friday morning, 6 am, you've had no sleep and you're due in work in two hours.

I wish I had a decent idea of where to go for a holiday.

Granted, but since you decided to settle for a decent idea rather than an awesome idea, enjoy you vacation to scenic Thule, Greenland.
