Ok I guess I get next, so this one threw me way off first time I heard it. Hopefully nobody knows it

There is a dead man in the middle of a desert. He is almost completely nude and holds in his hand a broken match.
What happened?

My guess: Some man was walking in the dessert during daytime, only had clothes on him and a match. Then night came, temperature drops and he gets freezing cold. He takes off his clothes so he can try to make a fire with them, but as he tries to strike the match it breaks. He freezes to death.

And then yet another famous one (and thus probably rather easy):

A human?

And I'm agreeing with Mcflury on the desert one.

Anyway: How many 3-cent stamps are in a dozen?

Correct ;)
It's from Oedipus, he got that riddle from the Sphinx (or whatever it was) and answered it correctly, turning him into the king (eventually)

Damn, the 'real' answer to your desert-man riddle is so lame (googled it). I find my solution a lot more realistic and quite possible too.

The real answer to the riddle:
Spoiler

And to the 3-cent in a dozen riddle: 12, right?

Yeah, but the thing is, my answer was a good answer too (nothing in my answer doesn't make sense) so it is actually also a valid answer for that specific riddle. Sure, your answer is a tad more farsought, but that doesn't mean it's better (au contraire, one might think).
Ah well, I just don't like riddles with that kind of open answers... every answer is basically a correct one then if it slightly makes sense ;)

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

you are on an island, but you cannot swim
there is an island close to you.
on that island, there is a fruit tree
on the tree, there is a monkey

your island has no fruit tree.
you are hungry
how do you get the fruit from the tree on the other island, provided that you may not leave your island?

Start throwing rocks at the monkey and it will pick up the nearest thing to throw back, and hopefully you'll get a face full of fruit.

Take away my second letter and I am unchanged;
Take away all my remaining letters and I am still unchanged!
