Umm, i've got a submission ready, that comes to 1059 words.
Is the 1000 word limit very strict, or can I submit?

Nvm, got it down to within the limit.

Ooooooh, Temp's gone and deceived us... or maybe just me. I was definitely expecting Luke to be his character for the first 90% of his post, rather than Ariel. Good on ya Temp!

Well, I'm glad we've got a female character amidst the sausage fest that is our line-up!

I was going for a cliche steampunk female dagger throwing (or actually telekinetically moving) assassin before I dug up Trouble out of an old storydraft... mainly because I wanted something that can take a hell of a beating and allow opponents to shine.

Well I think Ben can stay up for the fight. The mighty ducks guy I really doubt it.

Ofc you can fight them with a juggernaught.
I mean, move guy's bound to have some special effects up his sleeve, old film props, w/e. And he's getting a training montage :). I call god-modding
And ben, well, he's vicious :).

So, from reading the old game... what exactly are the rules? Two posts each, in turn, or what? When is the round/bout over?

Also, would still like an answer to this, anyone? Not played this game before. How do we decide which of the two has won?

how we did it before was that both players wrote two posts, following up on the previous. So player A posts, B follows up, then A, and then B.. Then there's a vote. Generally we've done it so that all participants get to vote but I dunno what the plan was this time around.

bah, I just looked at the former death match thread.. It is not to be denied that I was a lot better at writing just a year or two ago. *sigh* Still, it was a great fun. I hope we beat the somewhat unfortunate track records of the games this time around

This is going to be a totally different type of match. There's more silliness where there wasn't really any before. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope.....
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

great start ;) nicely done guys everyones entry is pretty sweet :D

basic setup for matches.

The players are selected depending on the intros and set up against each other, most well recieved is given a bye if odd numbered contestants. The actual competition each player gets a vote and the player with the most votes goes through. Scoring begins after the final post. Players can decide who goes first, or if needed the judges qill make a decision. the three judges are required to make a final decision if the votes are tied.

judges
Mezla
Shin
Drinks

There will be time limits set on the actual matches, and word limit though not strictky enforced will be tightly monitored for repeat offences. Once all intro's are completed the competition will begin, or if we are still wiaitng, first match will begin soon after the tenth once every nominates a favourite intro.
