Not by me you won't. Freema Agyeman is way more attractive than Billie Piper imo; although I wouldn't go mentioning that around the rabid Rose/Doctor shippers there are infesting Who fandom (for whom Rose is the Doctor's One True Love And No One Else Can Ever Compare). I personally think that Martha had, when she was introduced, way more going for her as a character but that this got somewhat ruined by where they chose to go with her.

I'm going to get a bit spoilery below.... But you don't have to read them if you don't want to :o

But anyway

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Oh wow, I totally wiped the memory of that bad two-parter from my memory and had long forgotten (thankfully) the human-Dalek hybrid. It looked ridiculous. Note: The same woman who wrote that two-parter writes a two-parter (The Poison Sky/The Sontaran Strategem) in series 4 that is also pretty bad....so watch out for that one. That said Series 4 has some GREAT stuff too.

So, anyone else suspecting that the person River Song is supposed to have killed is the Doctor? possibly by means of blowing up the Tardis?

it'd tie up quite nicely.

Today's episode was fricking awesome. When was the last time Richard Curtis wrote something this good?

return of the master

3 part episode to cap Season 3.

Spoiler

Good Fucking Sci-fi.

nuff said.

Season 4 started strong too. Planet of the Ood and pompeii episodes were pretty great...though I can't say I like the looks of Donna quite as much as Rose or Martha. I guess the good doctor can't always be traipsing around with the young-uns lest he look like a time-perv.

The Doctor's final scenes with the Master are still very touching in a Last of the Time Lords way.

Donna will grow on you. She really comes into her own by the second half of the season....and Season 4 has a GREAT two parter, current showrunner and head writer, Steven Moffat's THE SILENCE IN THe LIBRARY/THE FOREST OF THE DEAD, which is a GREAT story...and MIDNIGHT is possibly one of Davies best written episodes too, for its self-containment and it's creep-factor. Keep enjoying! Pretty soon you'll be onto the specials (THE WATERS OF MARS is one of David Tennant's VERY best episodes, ever.), and after that, the amazing series 5!!

Jenny

JENNY

holy shit Doctor Who. HOT FUCKING DAUGHTER.

Please tell me there's plans to bring her back at some point.

That episode could have been six hours of her just bouncing around with no plot or dialogue and I would have been just as happy.

there was talk of it at the time,

but so far, sadly, nothing.

Interestingly, the actress actually IS the doctor's daughter.

Peter Davison, the fifth doctor.

She's also the Doctor's girlfriend. Or was, at least.

yup. Did a quick google search...cause...you know...

And was assaulted by a raging torrent of british tabloid websites about the Tennant / Moffett thing, cause he's like 39 and she's nowhere near that.

Meh, I would.

and then some.

EDIT - And giant wasp episode with Agatha Christie was fucking fucktarded. Who the hell lets episodes like that through anyway? And the writer was responsible for some other really good episodes too.

At least it didn't approach the moronic levels of the "fear her" episode where the girl draws stuff and turns out to be an alien that is set free by the collective love being channeled at the olympic torch.

But still.

why oh why can't michelle ryan be the new doctor's companion. Just watched the Planed of the Dead easter special last night. Tight burglar catsuit....yowza!

I mean, I've seen pics of what's to come and the redhead's hot, but M. Ryan is un-freakin stoppable.

Good ending to Season 4 too. Best dalek-based episode yet.

I can see why people are getting tired of them now though...starting to be a bit overused now. Same with cybermen. New badguys please.

Still, daleks are my all-time favourite sci-fi badguy.

Oh dear god no. Michelle Ryan may be hawt, but she can't deliver a line to save her life. The Planet of the Dead episode was so bad it almost made me not watch the other Doctor Who specials from that year (which would have been a mistake, because The Waters of Mars was awesome).

ST
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

True. The bounciness mutes her lines in my brain though.

She was almost as bad and just as hot in the Jeckyll miniseries. Same automatic internal muting of all her lines when her boobs were onscreen though. Weird.

Waters of Mars was an absolutely 100% incredible show. Writing was excellent, the characters (yes even the cannon-fodder characters) were generally good, badguys were absolutely original and scary, the ending of the episode and followed by about 5 minutes of extended "David Tennant Serious Face" was extremely well played.

As always...good fucking Sci Fi.

Looking forward to Tennant's death now. He's a good doctor but I'm ready for a new character with a different attitude. I feel Tennant's conflicted-hero doctor character is getting a bit played-out.
