Really enjoyed the Easter episode.
And as for Clara.... the chemistry between her and the Doctor is just ridiculously appealing

I enjoyed it! I like the concept of the internet being used to devour people (its kind of happening anyway!!) & I dunno who the "Big Bad" is but seems moderately threatening...

I liked it too, it was a novel concept that I really hadn't given any thought before.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Erm, he was in the Christmas Special.
Also in two Second Doctor stories if that's what you were wondering (The Snowmen had a few references to those).
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

and another enjoyable ep.
think they got a big budget for the make up effects this week.
Star wars style - dozens of made up aliens, none with speaking roles

I really didn't like The Rings of Aspirin very much at all. Complete filler and dull even for that.
Cold War, however, was much much better than I was expecting from Gatiss.

quite enjoyed the opening and set up of Caliburn house,
thought it was resolved far too quickly though.
In fact, i'll go as far as to say that I think that it could have stretched to a two parter fairly easily and gained a bit more from the additional length.

My 6 yr old son HAS to watch this show with me now days. Anyway we just got to the Ep 3 weeks ago with the ghost house and I kept looking over at him and he was cowered down with his hand over his face for most of it. Lmfao! He watched the whole hr though!
That's traditional method Dr Who viewing right there.
Seriously, that kind of creepy stuff is classic. The UK always made a big deal of kids 'hiding behind the sofa' while Dr Who is on, so the fact that kids still do that today is pretty awesome in a way

So, what are my thoughts on the finale?
I liked it...ish...but I enjoyed the first few minutes more than anything else. I thought it was a WAY better finale than last Series silly finale. But it also wasn't great. I'm going to go in point form.
1. The past Doctor sequences (inserted footage and stand-ins) with Clara were all really neat...but that minute or so of footage doesn't begin to TOUCH the STAR TREK TOS / DS9 Crossover ep (which is what a number of us were assuming it would be). I honestly thought we'd have gotten a more concerted effort to blend sequences, not just flashes and shots. It felt novel...but not really mind-blowing.
2. Clara's explanation arguably works better than most of the timey-wimey magic tropes that Moffat has thrown at us since S5, and I thought it was a fine explanation.
3. They killed Jenny! (A Main character dies...wait)...no they brought her back. Sigh...no emotional resonance there.
4. John Hurt....okay....I'm willing to buy he's some facet of the Not Doctor...but I'm in the camp that believes whomever he is will be timey-wimey'd away at the end of the 50th. The big bold letters...meh...I could have done without such "patting themselves on the back" really. It felt a bit like Moffat huffing and polishing his sheriff's badge, like "Look at what we did!"...but in the end, it's John Hurt....so whomever he plays, I'm coolio, he's a GREAT actor.
5. The Great Intelligence. Blerg. How toothless. The Whispermen were creepy...but what could they do? Become incorporeal and stop your heart? Meh, creepy. But the GI...tailored as the big bad since the Xmas special...enacts his plan which briefly undoes some shit for a minute or two....only to have it all undone a few seconds later by Clara. I mean, in the grand scheme of villain plans, that one was NOT thought out. Hell, a secondary Bond villain could have done a better job. Simeon/G.I.: "Okay now, I'm gonna go into this here timestream and fuck up all the Doctor's good deeds k? *pause* Oh, but since I can't CLOSE the timestream after me...nobody follow me k? Cause then I couldn't enact my brilliant...er...decent...err...lame plan, k?" Sigh. SIGH!
5. Speaking of emotional resonance. Clara sacrifices herself...is told by River that if she goes into the timestream her original self will die. Tear. Cool, I like where this is headed. ...errr...but no....the Doctor almost immediately goes to get her even though he kind of can't...
GRRR....
I'm not fucking asking for a lot here Moffat! Rose Tyler....Parallel universe, sealed off...we don't see her again till a few series later, a proper resonant separation that torments Ten. Donna Noble, must forget and can't ever remember her life with him...Wilf says he'll look up and remember for her....THOSE HAD EMOTIONAL RESONANCE....when you kill off the companion and then bring her back 30 seconds later...NO EMOTIONAL RESONANCE...seriously, this is Amy and Rory and the Angels and NY all over again. Boo hoo, so sad...and then Yoink, out comes the rug from under ANYTHING I felt a minute ago. Fuck. You.
Still looking fwd to the 50th, for Tennant to interact with Smith mostly...I've lost all faith that McGann will show up at all...and I'm pretty convinced that even the 50th is going to seem disjointed, rushed, and altogether un-DoctorWho-y.
Fuck. I'm going to bed.

Season finale was fantastic. Also
I am really enjoying the 11th Doctor with Clara... I completely agree with Rodeo's above sentiment.
