Actually, I remember reading Mockra saying "yeah, Shadow IS Brutii, I got the same PM as Gamelon".

Which makes me wonder:

1) Why the hell would Brutus and a random Republican (according to gamelon) get the same PM
2) Why the hell would Gavin approve and confirm the outing of one of his important roled teammate.

That makes no sense. Without Shadow's own approval of all this (which also makes be go WTF?), I would think we are being played.

I want to wait for Ampelas, Shadow and Gamelon before adding to the lynch.

Oh, I wasn't disputing that Shadow was Brutii, just wondering how we first found out. But it seems that it wasn't to do with the recruitment thing, so there's nothing tangible to link him to being Cassius, which is what I was looking for.

I re-read Shadow's recent posts - and Kesso's quotes - and I have to admit the guys is laying it thick.

Before I get accused of god knows what, I just want to take a minute to properly express what is upsetting me in this story:

Day 1, we get a reveal on a leader, and we learn he knows the size of his team. And all of a sudden we have Shadow going "I can tell you he's saying the truth about the numbers, lol". What did that add to his team/game to say something like this? Who, in this game, want this kind of spotlight on his face? At that point, for all we knew, only leaders could be counters.

Day 4, we have Gamelon who goes "I didn't read the thread, can someone summarize the last 37 pages for me? Oh, and I know Shadow is Brutii". It doesn't take Johnny Cochrane to get you out of this "accusations", but how does Shadow respond? "lol, you got me"? WTF? Instead of something to fight, it's like Shadow saw this as an opportunity.

Later, his boss shows up, and says "oh, yessiree, he's Brutii alright, I got the same PM as Gamelon". Again, what does that add to Gavin's team/game to say this? With all that was happening around, it's like he wanted to make sure we didn't forget Shadow. And last night, Shadow is all over the place, bragging about his Brutii-ness.

I already said I found strange both Brutus and a random Republican got the PM saying Shadow is Brutii. Of the two, I trust Gamelon, and I think Mockra lied. I mean, what else can it be?

So:

Yes, Shadow is Brutii. Thing is, he's been playing this game like a naked guy in a trench coat constantly flashing a lesbian karateka parade - he's asking for it, never missing an occasion to get his ass toasted. And his boss added to it. Rashan was lynch-proof, but I'm seriously wondering what Shadow is.

Am I too paranoid?

I see what you're saying. What if Shadow's death is required for the Brutii to gain their powers? Would make it worth his while for him to fall on his sword like that...

Yes and no. I don't want him to survive - he's not on my team -, it's just that I have this impression of cock-sureness coming from him that's more than I've seen even ballsy players show.

As for Rashan, well, if we believe his story, he's been recruited three times in four nights Not counting all the night-kill he dodged, although I can't remember if he admitted lying about that. Apparently everyone wants him on their team, as well as dead.

It was quite clear he was Republic to start, and we were throwing some accusations that he might have been recruited by the Julii. Why would the Republican recruiter be so sure of that, that he wanted to re-recruit him back (with good odds of wasting a recruit on an already-Republican)? With so many potential powerful roles hidden around, why take a chance on Rashan, who is not that useful?

Again, if there's a lie there's a reason, with the hope of a gain. For Rashan (like for Shadow), I can't say what the gain is. I'm just putting this out there in case things become clearer at some point.
