vote shadow.
The brutii have increased power, and he seems to have been quite powerful to begin with.

well i can prove i was julii because i was told ampelas is my link to the julii after marc anthony came to me niht 3. i was also subject of a recruitment attempt night two but was bp against it. last night the republic recruiter came and convinced me to join them again. people said i couldnt play against my faction yesterday, the reason i quoted those posts was because out of all the julii i was the only one who didnt vote fener, i also lied about going to guard him so i could buy us another nights recruit. as a result i was subject to a rerecruitment attempt.
we can lynch ampelas and you will see he is julii.

Also, I think the Brutii are the most powerful with increased powers, so lynching a Julii right now is something I dont think would be a good idea.

So, you going to Cicero someone today?
As I see it, there are two Brutii down but only one Julii. So if we can find a Julii, we ought to go with them - while the Brutii may be more powerful, I get the impression they are smaller than the Julii and consequently will have been hurt significantly by losing two of their members.
On the other hand, we have a very obvious Brutii in Shadow, but not quite the same certainty in any of the Julii candidates. If someone can provide that certainty, then I say we go with a Julii. Otherwise, Shadow it is.

I think Rashan is full of shit, and is playing us.
So, he got accused of switching to Julii, and this morning he comes out and says not only is that true, but he's actually now been re-recruited back to the Republic?
I think this is bullshit of the highest order. He says we have to lynch Ampelas to know if he's telling the truth... then votes for a Brutii and says we should lynch him first. This basically gives Rashan two days before we can call him out on his bullshit.
I personally don't mind too much between Ampelas and Shadow... but I think that Rashan has been lying through his teeth for some time now, and we should remove him first.
vote Rashan

Also, can I just ask Rashan to confirm your story: you got re-recruited last night, right? Yesterday, you were Julii, right?

I could cicero someone today. However, it'd be my last, so i'd want to be fairly certain it was necessary.
Atm, I am considering:
D'riss. Rashan. Ampleas.
Also, Julii are two down, aren't they? Thyr and Fener?
Rashan says Ampleas is a Julii, if he's telling the truth.
Also, D'riss, couple of points:
If you were being accused like rashan is of switching, would you admit it at the time.
If we want to find out if he's telling the truth, I reckon lynching ampleas is a better choice, because then we know if rashan is teling teh truth about ampleas.
If he is, we lose only ampleas.
If not, we lose him and ampleas, which is a waste of time.

True, there certainly are other ways.
But if you've got one, why bother lynching rashan at all?

I'm not claiming to have a "I WILL SMITE YOU THIS INSTANT" power. I'd just like an answer from Rashan to my question.

In light of that mistake, I'm going to have to revise my stance somewhat.
Shadow was talking about some extra condition of some sort that was required before he could gain extra powers. What if that condition was the murder of his leader? Now that Mockra is gone, I could see another Brutii stepping in to recruit, or some kind of vengence deal granting them extra powers.
That's pure speculation, but with the two Julii and two Brutii down, I'm inclined to go with a Brutii today, especially seeing as we know we've got rid of the two most powerful Julii but only one of the most powerful Brutii.

ah the joys of playing exactly as you should for your new faction. Seems the republic can recruit. Ampelas was given to me as the face man of julii when i was recruited so hes a target. shadow is obvioiusly brutii, so i think its one of those two. All my bp's are gone and i have an upgrade as a result. i can now kill at night at the cost of my own life as my soldiers have come to my aid. i am republic once again.
vote shaodw
just in case the recruit power passed on.
i think the republic were big at the start and are still the majority. we have shadow and ampelas as two definites of other factions though.

What? This makes no sense whatsoever. You say you are back to Republic, that you know who the face man of the Julii is, and you vote for someone else? I know Shadow is Brutii, and he's on my list too, but given the choice I'll take down the face man of a team rather than a counter.
As for the extra lethal power Shadow might have gained, well unless he killed Brutus himself, I don't see anything that he did last night. He says he got nothing, maybe the extra power was given to Brutus alone or his own second in command, who might have died before.
In any case, according to your information, the one I want lynched today is Ampelas. The thing is, according to your own information, that's the one you should want dead too (assuming you're not lying), so let me catch up with the rest first..

Fener is Marc Anthony of the Julii faction.
Marcus Anthonius – Julii
Night Power: You're an influential man, and your whispers don't fall on deaf ears. Every night, you can recruit a player to your cause, making them a member of your faction. You win when your faction is the sole one remaining. Everyone joining your faction will learn the identity and allegiance of the man recruited before them. Should that player's allegiance have changed in the meantime, then they will learn the name of the one recruited before, etc. In case there is no-one recruited before, they will learn the name of one of the unrecruitable Julii, but, while you live, never the identity of Octavian.

From this and Rashans reveal I would say that Ampleas is likely just a recruit so we're probabaly better off recruiting him back than killing him off.

Hmmm, lots of votes on Shadow. You guys are sure? We were given the name of the Julii second-in-command, and we let it slide? Or you don't believe Rashan, in which case why leave him alone? Rashan has been lying his teeth off since the beginning of the game, there's usually a reason for that.
I'll wait to vote, because unlike the last two days I don't agree the choice is obvious. Personally, before Shadow I would like to vote Ampelas or Rashan.

From the Role of MA, as revealed by PS:
Quote

Note the underlined section. That makes me think that Ampelas is the Julii recruited before Rashan. Important enough to be lynched before Shadow? Not sure. Can someone remind me how we knew Shadow was of the Brutii?

Oh, indeed, forgot about that. It' because Rashan said Ampelas was the "face man" of Julii, and confusion with past cult games experiences.

Well, Gamelon said he was told by his lover. Apparently his lover sleeps around a bit because they also told mockra. Since then Shadow has admitted it often enough.

I noticed this, too. Did we find Shadow because of this? Because if so, he sounds pretty important...
