"Game of Thrones" is a very exciting major new series for the american TV giants HBO and is produced by the masterminds behind HBO hits "The Sopranos", "Sex and the City" and "Rome" and the films "Troy" and "The Kite Runner".
Based on George R R Martin's best-selling fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire", "Game of Thrones" is a dark and complex tale of warring dynasties, epic in scale, with a haunting supernatural element. It is set in a fictitious world reminiscent of Medieval Europe in which magic exists and the seasons can last for many years. The series follows the violent dynastic struggles of an empire in turmoil where political and sexual intrigue are abound. It defies genre and has a large topend cast that includes: Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage, Mark Addy, Lena Headey, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
It is due to be filmed in various locations around Northern Ireland from AUGUST - DECEMBER this year and there are a few specific types of people we are looking for for OCCASIONAL PAID WORK to furnish this epic fantasy world:
MEN aged 16 -90 that are either:
HAIRY!!! with long hair or hair with a bit of length in it (NO SHORT HAIR)
MEN WITH BEARDS and facial hair!
MEN WITH SWARTHY SKIN and DARK HAIR and if possible LONG DARK HAIR and/or MEN WITH EITHER A MEDITERRANEAN, HISPANIC, MIXED RACE OR LATIN LOOK ABOUT THEM.
WOMEN aged 16-90 that have LONG HAIR that is a NATURAL COLOUR - no modern dyes or highlights please.
WOMEN WITH SWARTHY SKIN and DARK HAIR and if possible LONG DARK HAIR and/or WOMEN WITH EITHER A MEDITERRANEAN, HISPANIC, MIXED RACE OR LATIN LOOK ABOUT THEM.
BOTH men & women, aged 16 -90 with interesting, timeless, unusual and quirky CHARACTER faces and anyone with MEDIEVAL SKILLS.
We are also looking for AMPUTEES.
We do NOT need any children under 16. And you must be based in NORTHERN IRELAND.

Just to chime in, I only have to say one thing concerning the series....
they have to cast Arya Stark perfectly or I'm not even going to bother with it.
She is, by far, one of the most badass characters in literature.

New casting announcements:
British actor Finn Jones has been cast as Ser Loras Tyrell, the Knight of Flowers.
Belfast DJ and actor Kristian Nairn has been cast as Hodor.
A third role has also been cast and is almost certainly Roy Dotrice playing either Grand Maester Pycelle or Maester Aemon. Just waiting to hear which it is.
An additional 2-3 roles have also been cast, and they're waiting for the contracts to be signed before announcing them.
