I checked the rules and there is nothing stating that when you get recruited you don't keep your role. So therefore one of the two lovers could get recruited and the other would never know, and communication between them would still happen. Someone correct me here if I'm wrong.

We then decide as a group, before the lynch today, the order of lynches from here on out. And NO DEVIATIONS. At any point anyone could be possesed... right now is the best time to know where we stand. My order would look like this.

Well you still have CI yourself HP yet. Will wait for Liosan/Shadow for that.

But I look and I can't see anywhere in the rules where it says Recruits lose their role. Possessed lose their ability and gain new ones, but I see nothing about recruits.

Is someone lying to us, or can they point out where its written?

I'm willing to go along with this, though I'd obviously rather be further down the list.

I think by the time we finish off Emur and Mockra, one of you Roled types will have managed to prove my Inno status, so I'm not too incredibly worried. Or I'll have been Recruited and Possessed by then, and, uh, whatever at that point. Hopefully Possessed, since it can be reversed.

The Town has a good chance to win if we stick together.

My list would place Mockra and Galayn Lord at the top. I'd rather we lynch GL and depossess Mockra come night to get the strongest effect. I still -sober- stand by my claim. Those are the two we should get hold of..

And it has been confirmed that cultists lose their abilities upon being recruited.

When it comes to reveals, I buy both Korvalain's and Ruse's for now. They bound sound probable to me, especially as we know there's someone out there running around downloading stuff into other people's heads. With the amount of possession that could b going on, two is not such an impossible number.

Just a clarification - Korv can kill cult? That's awesome. Kicks my roles ass. And it did explain why there would be two depossession roles, korv's is really just a bonus. Also his role owns mine

So Korv needs to go after whoeever is cult, I go after whoever is possessed. I am also perfectly willing to climb in the tau machine if you ever feel suspicious of me. Hell, you can put me in tonight to prove my claim. But I think with a role that powerful it shouldn't wasted on something like that.

@HP (I think) The mods have given (and continue to do so) me the impression that I cant kill. Since I havent actually had a successful depossession I cant be sure.

Korv - I asked PS about recruits keeping their powers early in the game. He told me no and I so posted in thread. Dunno exactly where though.

Regarding off-thread comms. We know for a fact that the original two cult can talk off thread. No idea whether recruits are then given this power or not.

The one thing worrying me is what if Korv got recruited last night, or gets recruited in the future? I cant see the cult keeping him free longer than tonight. and there's a chance that if he's recruited, the target he announced in thread would just stay off the thread till end of day and come back as inno, clearing a cult member and making us think Korv is still one of us. Anyone see a way to counter this?

HP, i put you in the middle, since you havent explained why you would be last. Korv seems to be someone both possessed and cult will want to disable, so I put him above me in lynch order. If you guys are suspicious of me, I can always climb in the zero tau, but Korv cant. I put Telas above GL, simply because GL has been playing so nicely and hasnt tried to poke huge wholes in this whole thing, which I would think a cult would do.

I think Korv should put GL or Telas in his box tonight. I will use my NA on Mockra.

I'm more inclined to go for Emur today. Stick GL in the zero tau machine tonight. I'm 50/50 on GL, since he seems very willing to throw his lot in with us and play by our rules.

Korv, what happens if there is a cultist in your machine? Is that one deprogrammed into a standard town again? HP assumes the person will be killed, but I don't read that anywhere....
What happens to original cultists? Can people still take night actions while they are in the unit? Will it last through the night as well (so, when can Galain talk?)?

As for making a list:
The danger with making a list is of course that cult will start recruiting at the bottom of the list if we start with lynching at the top ... and will take everyone they lose in between as collateral damage. We just have to hope we hit a recruiter asap if we start working that way. So, i think it is not the best of ideas, to be honest. What we should do, is discuss actions during the day.

My priorities haven't changed yet. I want Galain's CF because I think he is original cult (also, which I had not incorporated yet, because he was starting, very carefully, to defend Omtose when I came up with the post count: 'interesting, but a bit out of nowhere'... doh, we had just lynched Rashan, of course we were going to start looking at things all over again). If this can be done whilst taking out Mockra as well: perfect.

Now, I have a meeting upcoming in 5, so will withdraw for a couple of hours now. Lots of interesting discussion, and I right now very much believe Korv is the real deal and CI.

Korvalain walked amongst the gathered townies, feeling mighty smug and self satisfied with how the day had been going. His zero tau machine set out for all to see, though everyone agreed it looked suspiciously like a giant cardboard box with ikea written on the side of it and crude drawings of some electrical circuitry dabbed over its sides. He had put tinsel though through small air holes and had a few christmas lights in a nice pattern on one side, so everyone agreed they could just maybe, possibly stop time if you held your breath for long enough.

Suddenly a large circular and bloody hole appeared int he centre of korvalins chest, about the size of a basball, but more ragged round the edges. Every walk ed over, stunned to screams and howls of fear, as korvalain scratched around the edges of the hole.

"Are you ok," asked Liosan with a smirk, thinking about the weekend of boredom just past, when Korvalain suddenly exploded into tiny red wet bits, covering Liosan and the others in little bits of Korvalain. Where he had stood, the ground was a red welt of bits and bobs, that looked surprisingly like sausages.

And indeed dibs told be saying "someone thinks you could be possessed", so even if I thought it was counter-productive to silence a potential possessed, since he doesn't have to talk and get caught, that's what it is. Korvy's reveal that there is a depossession at the end makes sense, though. He also said that if he zero-taued cult, they die at the end, but I fail to see the logic of that. I like it, though, since it clears me on both counts (at least for this night)

All right, this is how I see it.

Mockra is the possessed. Remember that the dead are up in SH looking down on us talking among each other and finding good targets for later. Mockra has been since very early the best target for possession (apart from Tennes perhaps) and I cannot believe he has not been taken. Mockra is possessed and should thus be depossessed for joy and candy.

There's two other players who could be evil at this point I believe.

Emurlahn and Galayn Lord.

Galayn Lord is to my mind the most likely candidate, though Emurlahn is not too far behind. One of them is cult, the other is either cult or possessed I think.

If I've got the role list figured at this point, I think we have a chance of victory tonight, or at least tonight + tomorows vote.

My only problem is deciding between Telas and Emurlahn. Both could be innocent but in all likelihood one is not. I personally think that Emurlahn is the dirty one of the two.

That means
Mockra = possessed
Galayn Lord = possessed (or potentially cult)
Emurlahn = cult (potentially inno)

Now, I think that between us we have the roles necessary to block all these three, but if I am wrong everything collapsed spectacularly. Or, Ruse, does your power block whomever it targets? or does it just depossess?
