I've intentionally kept my expectations low ever since I saw the cheesy pictures of the actors posing in constume. They just look so... Power Rangers'y.

I'm hoping for Transformers but expecting Streetfighter the Movie.

Action Force (as they were called over here) were the best toys ever. Most poseable, most ninjas, most cool, full stop. Tying them to zip lines all around the house was fun too ;)

This film will be a turd.

I want to agree with you except that i said the same thing about the (first) X-Men flic and Transformers and was satisfyingly wrong in both cases, innate silliness notwithstanding.

After the rash of new marvel movies, Iron Man and the Hulk. ( and even Transformers ) I am silently hopeful that this movie will be awesome. Dude Darth Maul is going to be Snake Eyes .. how awesome is that!!!

Would be cool if Ray Park could actually ACT!!

unless they give him a role with no lines and just action / martial art sequences again.
Even then...might still be teh suck

Ray parker doesn't need to act. Tell me, how often did we see Snake eyes without his mask in the cartoons? Never? One time? I think it may only have been in the comicbooks.

So basically, give him that weird facial plate and just dub over his dialogue. It will work.

The kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun is Cobra Commander? Scary. He was good in The Lookout...but as a villain? I don't see it.

That whole cast list seems to be designed around how much fail you can squeeze into one movie.
