Giant super mutants? As in plural? Isn't there just the one at the Radio Station?

There's a couple more, definitely. I found one when I was just walking about, near Jury Street station. It came running over, and because it out in the open I didn't notice the scale until it was beating me up - if I hadn't got the alien pistol it would have been over, cos he was right there on my last save, too...

There's another one in a slave town - Evergreen Mills. It's sort of in a crater, with slaves in a pen, and a giant supermutant behemoth kept in an enclosure with an electric gate. I killed the slavers, but during the battle he got let out. I had Fawkes by then, so he helped out. I think there might be more, but they're the ones i found.

Also, the nukes can bring down the helicopter things the Enclave fly about in - one tried to land on me on the rare occasion I actually had a fatman, and i brought the whole thing down :sofa:
That was up north, near the oasis.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

ok, missed that auction, entirely my fault. I might try for one this evening though. the last one was only 36 bucks + 10 for shipping. This one is currently at 22.50 and 5.00 shipping.

I figure its a good deal considering all the game stores in town are still selling this thing for like 69 bucks.

I wish I could h4xx0rz my PS3 so badly

Wait...what?

The next expansion is going to remove the level cap, and hopefully offer a few more perks. I actually gave up trying to wait and just finished the game out and started over as an evil character...which is fun since there's much more bounty hunters to fire on, and stealing without guilt is great too.

Also, I managed to play through the whole game with only encountering one super bohemouth, but I know there's a bunch out there. A buddy of mine foiund one indoors somewhere, said he had a blast using the fatman indoors, apparently list the whole place up and took out EVERYTHING. I'm currently searching for that building.

But I did find the alien blaster finally, makes me smile when hordes of deathclaws are running at me :sofa:

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Question... If you blow up Megaton is there another place that you can get a house to store stuff? That's the only thing that saved it this time around.

the dlc for Fallout is meant to be xbox 360 exclusive, which made them PS3 fanboys all angry.

I view this as a time limited exclusive. I would expect that at some point in the future the dlc is released for PS3. Not any time soon though (ie. I think next year).

no PC as well, since that is Microsoft. It has been announced for a while on PC, getting same release dates as on 360 I believe.

You guys even have the mod kit as well.

Yeah, you did. PC gets everything. ^^
Even user-made content, thanks to the G.E.C.K construction set. :sofa:

PS3 will get it eventually, I'm sure.

yep. Sony's kinda ghey like that. Oh well. I'm sure I won't get through the game that quickly that I'll need tons of extra content right away. The rate I play through RPGs I'll have a really tough time exhausting the original Fallout content in a short amount of time.

EDIT: actually, I wouldnt' be at all surprised if it was released next year as a collectors' edition or a "game of the year" edition a la Oblivion. The relase would include all the expansion stuff and be available for PS3.

And correct me if I'm wrong but I think the delay on most ps3 stuff is porting it to the PS3 OS...I've heard that for other games. Developing something for PC and Xbox is essentially the same thing since they both run windows...so it often gets more attention and earlier releases.

There is no particular difficulty in porting to the PS3*. More relevantly, Sony doesn't pay for the DLC - Microsoft pays for an "exclusive" deal (no doubt time-limited, or only regarding the online DLC as opposed to disk-based). Sony just doesn't pay as much, I"m afraid.

*Well, this isn't strictly true - there is a reason console ports to PC are always crap. However, it wouldn't be an issue so large as to delay the release of DLC onto the PS3 by as much as it does.

So I bought the game. Broke down like the sucker I am and bought it. Whatever, its a fucking wicked game. Like oblivion on awesomesauce.

Completed the quest chain for the wasteland survival guide almost...doing the last bit in Rivet city and then I'm going to blow fucking megaton to smithereens. What a shithole. Its all moira's fault for real...if she wasn't so annoying I'd probably leave the dirty little place alone, but she just makes me soooo angry!!!. Tenpenny tower seems like a much nicer place to settle down anyway.

The RobCo quest was fucked. I liked the way it was set up. Easy to kill Roaches and mole rats all the way in with robot carcasses strewn EVERYWHERE...then plug into the mainframe and surprise! All the robot carcasses come to life and start ripping me a new asshole. Thank god for VATS or I would've been toast in there.

I also killed a mirelurk king in a random wasteland encounter....dunno if he's the only one but all I can say is WOW. He took like 10 combat shotgun shells to the face before I exploded his head. Tough cookie.
