I love my mom and I readily help her at the shop, but I wish she would stop planning my time for me or at least actually know what it is I should do  I'm kinda not too motivated to do whatever it is she wants done on friday morning before going to work, which is what will happen if this goes on, and it will, because it always does, and then she will be unhappy, because I won't have time and will sew sloppily or something like that *sigh*

I think she wants you around her more often and is acting this out in a really dysfunctional manner. It sounds like she's trying to find busy work to have you there, but isn't exactly planning it out well or even at all. Be a little more assertive saying "I can be at the shop two hours three days from now. What should I do then and there?" Imposing your plan will let her work with you a bit better.

They didn't find bedrock...there was a thin layer of eggshell, and below that, hellfire.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Well Slow Ben it looks your gonna take this Hurricane pretty much straight on. Sorry dude. At least it's not a very powerful storm compared to some others in the past but it's a slow mover so lots of rain and wind for extended periods of time.

Yeah, it's been flat out pouring for about 6 hours and it's not gonna stop for 36 to 48 more. The winds starting to get nasty also.
It won't be too bad if we get ifintismally lucky and the power doesn't go out, and I can just keep watching the Wire, but that's not gonna happen. I'll probably get a good chunk outta my Malazan reread.

So I found my computer.

It's been delivered, a week ago.

It has yet to be processed. Which basically means they haven't even unboxed it. So it'll be between one and infinity weeks until it gets fixed...

Also, prices may vary depending on the time of day, as in the evening when most people book, they are often higher than early in the day.

Loki, he's actually not signing S.E.E. by crossing his fingers. He's doing something a little more individual (his name sign variant).

It's actually some of the worst signing technique I've ever seen. "Hunter" is usually signed in a different format that makes it more clear that the person is holding a gun or bow. It is usually the sign for "hunt" then the letter "R", which ties in to make "hunter". They're tying in the R from the get go, which is understandable, but it's not clear he's showing "hunt" by the shaking motion.

This video sorta gets at it, but everyone I've seen just does it the once bounce, instead of the two the guy does: http://www.aslsearch...php?sign_id=608

And they also make the "gun" hand gesture a bit clearer.

So the story is a tiny more ambiguous once you know what the actual sign for "hunter" is, rather than the junk the parents are doing. Still stupid though. That's the kid's name and why would you deny otherwise normal kids from making the equivalent of laser noises while saying their name like normal kids?

My 3 year old has just had his gorgeous blondie ringlets cut off.
His hair was just too cute (see aka thread), now it's just plain old hair.

Did not think ahead today as I left the house. Finished a book on the way to work, and now I have nothing to read at lunch and on the way home tonight. I hate that!

Powers been out for about 48 hours, they say it'll be anywhere from another couple days to a week for it to come back on. But somehow the building across the street has power.

I do not like not having AC.
