In a funk :headbang:

I had a day like that on Tuesday. Woke up in the worst mood, alternated between blind rage and moping most of the day, all for no good reason. Just pissy all day.

A fellow I worked with for 8 years died in a workplace accident yesterday. I'm stunned. Sick to my stomach thinking about it.

He was working on a 30 foot goose-neck trailer and a weld snapped, dropping the back deck of it right on top of him. A coworker found him at 5pm, unconscious. EMS was called but he died on scene. They don't know how long he had been trapped under it.

He was 52 years old. His youngest daughter was getting married this summer.

I'm totally devastated. Never had a friend pass away so suddenly.

If it makes you feel any better I've spent all afternoon chanting your RL name around my living room whilst doing my own interpretation of a pygmy tribal chant dance XD

I wonder if that is an empowering prayer-like chant, that will help me find (or someone else find) said outage so that I can be happy again? :headbang:

Thanks Kell!

Sorry to hear about that RR. Makes other problems seem really trivial.

I just came on to vent about the fact that we've been without phone (and broadband) for over a week now cos some idiot managed to pull down a telephone pole with a JCB last week, and they still aren't close to sorting it all out. Fuckin' incompetence.

Also, I've been keeping an eye out for a good value second hand aquarium for a while now, and on thursday night i saw a brilliant listing. Rang the guy, agreed the price and arranged the time to collect it, saturday morning. So i ring up before driving to the house to collect it, and he informs me that he sold it the previous day, cos a guy went straight to his house and gave him the money. Never contacted me, never said it was an issue. And the reason i didn't arrange to go collect it on the friday, cos i was out doing some volunteer work for a cancer charity. Karma my ass!!!

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt - Mark Twain

I just saw that exact same thing on the People's Court. The buyer even drove out (like a 3 hour drive) and when he got there, the item was already sold. So he sued, but he lost, because there was technically no formal agreement.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
