OK, listen up cos this is an all time groove messer.

Tonight, I have to watch Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt 1...  Allow me to provide some context. I may have mentioned before that my wife and I made a deal whereby she would come to a metal gig with me & I would watch all the Twilight films with her... She dutifully came to a gig, and I have so far watched the first 3. You may even remember that I did my bit to allay the soul crushing idiocy coming my way by standing up and whipping my top off at the same time poncy werewolf boy did it. It has since ruined a couple of peoples experience of said poncy werewolf boy, and I consider that a win...

But the time has now come that I have to watch the next one and I am a man of my word... Think well of me my friends, for I may never be the same again... In lieu of flowers, please send sympathy rep to "Please for the love of everything holy, stop pretending Twilight is respectable" (Tiste Simeon memorial rep fund) Charity #092133982357

I... survived! This time my plan was simple. I snuck in my MP3 player & headphones. I managed to get away with about 10 minutes of heavy metal bliss before my wife noticed. Would have been longer too, had it not been the fact that they paused it so someone could go to the loo... I managed to also ease the pain by constant mockery of the stupidity of it all, despite being constantly told off by everyone. I have to admit, Kristen Stewart does some fine acting being dead for a quarter of an hour!!

I will recover. I will come back stronger. There is only one film left and I think I can make it. In all things, England prevails! Or whatever...

I appear to have lapsed back into depression after nearly a year. Yaaaaaaay.

Welcome back BK :D

Spent ages in Williamstown doing a screen test for the Actor's Showreel. It went well, but now I have a long night of public transport ahead of me.

Sitting down to translate some Latin and realising how much of it I've lost in the last seven months.

But if they are getting rid of him it better be to make way for somone impressive

Waiting for the bus to go home today, and had my fucking Nook stolen by a dude riding by on a bike.

Dropped my backpack and ran out of my sandals, chased him down the street on foot. Dozens of people don't bother to help, just content to watch a guy with no shoes chase a dude on a bike.

The only person who was even remotely helpful was a little girl who picked up my shoes for me.

My mum is in the hospital with a twisted stomach. She's in intensive care awaiting to hear if she needs surgery or not.

It's fucking tough to see her hooked up to all those tubes and monitors.

It's also bothering me how long we have to wait.

UPDATE: My Mum is out of the ICU and the surgery isn't an emergency and she's not in stomach pain any longer. So they will be fixing her twisted stomach and also an apparent hernia as well. Was glad to hear she will be on the mend.

It's apparently very rare in humans (less rare in animals), and it's similar to intestines getting twisted. It has both diet and exercise connotations, but the Doctor's aren't exactly fully aware of just how a specific instance occurs.

Write long, hopefully logical, well-thought-out, reasonable, intelligent and scathing rant on some topic or other (usually something from the news, or some related socio-political topic). Realize, often while in the midst of writing, that very few people are going to read any of it, fewer are going to care, and even less are going to bother responding in any fashion (barring perhaps a 'like' or two). Realize later that, should many people actually bother to do any of those things, you wouldn't have the time nor the energy to respond to them in turn if they actually bothered to argue with you, because it'd be like arguing a brick wall (most probably) or a potentially entertaining repartee with some friend playing Devil's Advocate (*nods at Lucifer's Heaven). Not exactly a lot of effort goes into this, mind, because it's very easy to rip some of these news articles apart. It's more the time spent than anything. And the depressing realization that the reason dictatorships have continued cropping up is because not enough people actually care about anything anyway. And they're certainly not all going to agree with you. Thus it's easier to force your will upon others, even if just for a while, to try and make the world work 'properly'. And then, realize again - the reason so many dictatorships are horribly oppressive is because the people who are both willing and able to go that far are all insane. Great.

Thus, I consign myself to the occasional Facebook-breaking rant for no-one to read. *sigh* And it's 2am again.

...apologies for the lack of paragraphing in that first chunk. It's a mini-rant. :p And you all read Malazan, so no complaining about the length. :D"
