What's messing with your groove?

Had my PGCE interview today. Went ok I suppose but probably not gonna get on as they interviewed ten people today and another 15 tomorrow and only have two spaces left. I did ok on the maths paper I was worried about and struggled on the comprehension test ironically the one I was least worried about. So essentially whatever happens Im going to have to try to get into another Uni but places on there are tight so I may aswell give up the ideaof starting my training in September and try next year which means wasting another year. Might be time to get on a graduate scheme and try something new.

I left the interview process, which took like 5 hours because of breaks in between) and found out my dad, who has high blood pressure etc had been rushed into hospital with severe chest pains. I went to see him and he seemed ok but theyre keeping him in to check a load of things to see if he had a heart attack or a stroke or something

I have had better days

I read that comment as Lex saying 'I'm an idiot for thinking I was ready for a serious relationship.' Hence the 'what' part.

But that is irrelevant as my loyalty lies with AIJ, my fellow black&white blood brother. And so all I have to say on the matter is 'Bitches be loco!"



In other news, I woke up this morning by falling out of bed. I hit my head and it hurt. When I got up Whiskeyjack was sitting on my side of the bed and he casually yawned at me. I'm not saying that he pushed me out of bed but I am keeping an eye on him....just in case.

Had to pay a completely unadvertised $125 fee for this semester. Didn't hear about it, didn't see it anywhere, but lo, I go to register for this class and there's a "one time fee" of $125. Bastards.

In any case, she apologised profusely for the remark, and she didn't mean it in a derogatory context : she's simply happy with this new feeling of freedom. But that's a whole other story. I've had one of those nights where you keep waking up every half hour or so and go right back to sleep and into another dream, all of them pretty screwed up and some of them actually worrying. It seems I am once again afraid of losing something. Don't know if I should be happy or angry about the fact.

Having a slight issue at work, with a market research we're doing. The questionnaire we intend to send out has been outsourced through our PR-person - who has given directions on what it should contain. It is now an unorganised, uninformative, semi-commercial pile of crap that is going to badly misfire and yield no new knowledge for us. Essentially, like everything she touches.
So now I either have to enter a struggle with her to get it revised, or just give up.

Got slapped in the face by a huge dick of rejection yesterday. Publisher no. 2 kindly told me my manuscript sucked, both literarily and artistically, and lacked originality...

Also, my paycheck was laughably tiny this month...so tiny, in fact, it's next to impossible to live on...Hooray!


Also also, long-distance relationships suck! I hate spending so much time apart...damn it straight to hell!


Also also also, possibly last day of work today, and still haven't found a new job..or a place to stay.

In addition, I have no idea what I want to do with my life.

This sucks. Totally. The good news is that if you google famous authors, nearly all of them will tell you they got rejected by lots and lots of publishers before they got picked up. It just takes the right person to take a chance on you. Hang in there Grimmy, and you have my support.

Thank you for your support. My dad is out of the hospital on the couch downstairs. Has to go back in for more tests and to get the results from the ones they did on him through the night. They said it 'probably wasnt a heart attack but were not sure yet' which ofc amounts to absolutely nothing. However that theyve discharged him is a good sign. Hes had high blood pressure for a while now and is out of shape like many dads that are around the 50 mark. Hopefully this is one of those cliched wake up call moments that we look back on and I really hope it is.

Anyway thanks again from taking the time out from advising AIJ on his love life :)

On the plus side, you are getting publishers to look at your manuscript, a position many aspiring authors would die for. Keep trying, many classic books were rejected many times before being acepted. Maybe use it as constructive criticism, even if it was dickish, and make some changes.

In Delphi, it's freezing, there's no water, one of the pieces off my newly-bought awesome chess-set broke and I won't be able to read OST for another three weeks... :p
