This has happened to me before. Your Eustachian tube is likely blocked with crud. Sadly that's your inner ear and a Doctor might have to clear it if you want it done soon.

If not you can leave it and EVENTUALLY it should clear on its own. I used to run warm to hot water into my ear in the shower and let it drain out best I could.

Sadly it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 months before it unblocked on its own...even with my gf's sister who is a chiropractor adjusting me to help it clear didn't help.

One day though I got this totally rank taste in the back of my throat as the tube cleared and the crud went down my gullet.

Nasty and annoying.

After a long weekend there is usually so much crap to wade through in order to get my desk clear to start the work week. And the week is short a day so I have less time to get everything done before this weekend.

I fucking HATED this in school. I had one English teacher who used to ask people like 3 times a year what they read over their holidays...and I'd always answer with *insert fantasy titles or author here* and he'd look me deadpan and condescending and say "I want you to be more well read than *fantasy title or author*"

It drove me mental and every time I had to do a book report on a book I got to choose I would PURPOSELY choose a fantasy title.

He used to mark me down for everything wrong her could and in one case he was so blatantly biased in his notes to me (red pen that said stuff like "Where does this story go? Why bother with such fantastic ideas? This makes no sense in the real world") just because he disliked my choices.

One day he wrote me up like that for THE GOLDEN COMPASS, THE SUBTLE KNIFE and THE AMBER SPYGLASS when I did a report on the trilogy.

He had never read it, had never heard about it and was shunning it because it wasn't Chaucer or Dickens. I got a "D" on the report. I tried to take issue after class and he shut me right down saying that the mark stood and the work I'd done was barely worth the "D".

I was furious, so I went down to the Office and asked to speak with the Vice-Principal. She sat with me as I explained to her my dilemma and at first she wouldn't hear anything from me and said I had to speak with my teacher if I had an issue...and I said he wouldn't listen to me. She looked like she might protest again when she saw the cover of my report and saw what it was on. She asked me if it was HIS DARK MATERIALS series. I said yes and strangely enough it turned out she'd read it herself. So she took my report and said she'd read it on the next lunch hour and consider my complaint.

When I returned she told me it was worth a B+ at the lowest, that I had set out to describe the best aspects of a complex series with a complex language at times and a very clever plot. She told me she'd have a word with the teacher.

I don't know if he was reprimanded (though I expect so) as the next day he returned with the report, remarked and set with a B (not +) and actually threw it on my desk without a word. He never stopped giving me crap for reading fantasy...but he never again marked my reports poorly.

I HATE teachers like that.

I'm in the library, and there's a guy two seats over from me listening to Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the USA' very loudly. I'm half tempted to yank his headphones out, tell him to turn it down and listen to some good music.

There is a big muscley guy at the gym who listends to crap pop like that when doing his workouts... watching himself in the mirror... I would ask him to turn it down if it wasn't so hilarious... and if I didn't have my own headphones with decent music.
