I was made redundant on friday as the company I worked for went into liquidation, everybody knew the business was in trouble but liquidation/administration was never even hinted at. Turns out the (extremely top heavy) management had already set up a new company some weeks ago, the people who done all the actual work weren't invited.

You can always rely on top management to take care of themselves!!

I have a week of hell ahead at work. My team has a milestone for our companies major client due for the end of March. I categorically told management and the client in December that it was too short a space of time to complete that task. Top management went away and had a meeting about it and came back with "It has to be done anyway". There is nothing in the world that could speed this up, it's a technical challenge that needs time and systematic research to figure out. Inevitably, my team has failed the milestone despite trying seriously hard to hit it. Tomorrow, the clients come over from California to see a demo even though I've told EVERYFUCKER all the way along the process in weekly updates that it's not going to happen. And who's the one who gets dumped with the client all week and has to bow and scrape and explain our failure? Little old me. The stupid bastards!!!

Stupid fucking crackheads stole a second pair of ferns off my porch. By the time I got the front door open he was already on this bike leaving. If it had been something of worth I'd have chased his ass down. But I'm more pisses off about the crackhead has no fear of walking up onto my porch in the middle of the afternoon and taking shit, how long til he tries to come into the house? I gotta find a new place to live.

Messing with my groove: running around the campus for about an hour this morning looking for someone so I could sort something out for the Director, only in the end I took so long trying to find this person that the Director got back from what she was doing and sorted it out herself. So I was all panicky and stressed and going up eight flights of stairs to check A Block, D Block and the Library level by level FOR NOTHING. Then three hours of Corporate Card reconciliation.

At least I was able to ignore IT assets today :)

Saturday night at a club, I was sandwiched between two really hot girls for considerable time... well, that shouldn't be messing with my groove, right? Well, I somehow managed to still sleep alone that night. How the hell did I screw that one up? Awful. Simply awful.
