Friday night. going out, A friend's advance b-day party.

there's a full night planned out. problem is, i'm tired as hell from the last 3 nights of little sleep and a lot of work.

can't wait till tomorrow when I can sleep till the evening and do nothing.

Had total insomnia last night. Literally lay in bed for 6 hours and got no sleep. I think I fell asleep maybe an hour before my alarm to get to class...

An evening of reading emails from my old boss being annoyed at me for not finishing a paper he wanted me to finish. Problem being, I finished it to his specifications 6 months ago (despite stopping working for and being paid by him 10 months ago) THEN he changed his mind and wanted it done a whole other way and I finally lost the will to try anymore and told him I was too busy with my full time job and life. Somehow I'm the bad guy here...... What a twat. The worst thing is, I DO feel bad...... Not how I planned to spend Friday night.

Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I once drank so much my kidneys shut down for 24 hours. That was a fun 24 hours....
FORTUNATELY, they started working again on their own.

Anyhow, in my home town where I am now, there's this one girl: she's something of a stunner and an incredible dancer on top of that, though the company she keeps put her into the 'not ever for me' category very fast, dunno why. So I never knew her much at all, just silent approval whenever she was in the same club I was.
She's been eyeing me in the past several months, but I thought nothing of it - I'm used to being overlooked, even if I am ruggedly handsome, I like keeping to the shadows, so to speak.
She actually came over and sat next to me, and not through a lack of other places to sit. Here comes the messing with my groove part: I was paralyzed. Or, more like, my brain was - I couldn't think of any way I could play this. Never expected it.
Maybe I'm overinterpreting (it is possible, alcohol was involved), but the way I saw it, she was waiting for something all evening, looked like. And after a few minutes where I just continued to sip my beer, she got up, and not long after she was dressed up and left for home.
Odd. Dunno what to think of this, and I can usually tell people's motivations and intent. It's frustrating.

Of other things, there some two BFFs - one tall blonde and a short brunette - rather enjoying themselves dancing. Regardless, when a fucking wigger started tripping over his feet all around them, behaving in that exagerrated manner they do, I thought they're going to at least shoo him away. To my surprise, they actually smiled and enjoyed the idiot. I was dumbfounded.

It's not all that surprising. Women love boldness and confidence, and it has gotten more men laid than any well-turned calf. That was probably your problem there - she was waiting for you to make a move, you weren't bold enough to do so, so she gave up hinting and left. If you're thinking of a way to 'play it', in my opinion you're doing it wrong. It's a fallacy to think any woman is 'beyond your reach', but simply thinking that makes it more likely to happen. Just go for it - if she says no, c'est la vie. She did approach you, after all. It's easier said than done, mind you, but I've generally found 'que sera sera' to be good advice in this situation, and it's a cliche for a reason.

ugh.

despite the fact that I had nowhere to go, and no rush today, still had awful sleep. that makes 4 nights in a row.

made all the worse by the fact that my window faces a construction site. and people are working there.

ON A FUCKING SATURDAY MORNING.

after trying to fall into drunken stupor sleep for several hours, around 11 AM I finally gave up, got up, turned on music on my laptop, and proceeded to fall asleep for several solid hours.

but the sheer fact that these people and their noisome machines have been robbing me of sleep for an entire week is depressing.
