Some very orange old Salford school friends have retracked me down on Facebook (I defriended them about 2 years ago, I wonder if they remember....). So I lost the whole evening to stalking through their photos marvelling at how they all look like girl band rejects. I managed to stop when I got to the photos of them dancing on chairs in Ibiza....... So depressing.

2. My eyeglasses broke, and the spare pair is giving me a major headache.

Who you flying with Jusen? most flights have resumed as of today, you should be putting in a claim anyhow for disrupted plans and losing out on hotels bookings.

This is some kinda joke, right? A Claim for disrupted plans? My sweet purple lesbian fish God. I'd have to drop six figures on lawyers just to get something that frivolous into court.

Problem now being I can't get even a business seat on a flight for less than five thousand dollars. (I refuse to ever fly coach. Don't care, won't fucking do it, no matter what, ever ever ever) *sigh*


I suppose I could call my brother and see if he can get me a bitch seat on a C130 to Ramstein... but as unfun as that might sound to anyone who hasn't done it, it is so so so so much worse.

My sympathies, flying coach with the peasants would just be absolutely unacceptable. And paying $5000 is a bit extreme in anyone's eyes. I know the brickies just got flights sorted home there today, and the price was 3* what I paid pre eruption. With everyone trying to get around, the airlines are going to stick their arm in for money, they were losing something to the tune of 130 mil a day afaik.

I wasn't so much suggesting you sue god, more that you turn and say to the airline that your flights have been disrupted and you're entitled to your money back, or an alternative flight.

Still, I'm surprised that flights into Germany are a problem considering Lufthansa was one of the first companies to put planes back in the sky.
blagging a seat on the 130 would be sweet, good luck on that front, though I think the owners might have a problem with that, not to mention it would surely be as bad, if not worse than coaching it
