Well apparently it's not it - examination of my breathing and "listening" (what's the proper term anyway?) to my chest gave nothing untowards away. The doctor did givev me a referral for a chest x-ray though.
It's a long-lasting dry cough, but truth be told it lacks some of the other symptoms, like chest pains and shortness of breath. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid.
It's not like I shouldn't use this as motivation for quitting.

Two things... One, it is far too late for me to be up and posting this... Two, I went to see some stand up comedy yesterday, with a bunch of different people (not famous or anything) and while on the whole the sets were surprisingly good, one of the comedians mentioned that soon it will be legal to have sex with people born in 1994... I feel old!

awesomely sweet co-worker chick being at work tomorrow for the last time. Invited her out yesterday (thursday), but... no response yet, and it turns out she broke up with her previous BF only 8 weeks ago....

Also, a toothpick just broke between two of my lower front teeth, and I can't get the fucking remainder out, not even with a fucking needle. Bleeding like a bull in the arena with things not going my way and unable to remove the fucking splinter.

Got it sorted out, but it's best not done drunk, as I discovered. The numbness may be an advantage, the repeated stabbing of my gums made it kinda necessary. My sink looked like an abattoir.
