Well, the tar smell seems to have abated somewhat but it was still gross, IMHO. I guess everyone has different likes and dislikes but tar is very low on my "smells good" list. Like maybe right before rotting garbage, hahahaha.

However, I have a new problem...I preordered DoD from Amazon.ca only to find out TODAY that it isn't being released on September 1 as they claimed but in January 2010. So I cancelled my order and bought it from the Book Depository...no big deal except I could have done that 2 weeks ago and had the book already. But nooooo, thanks to inaccurate Amazon I now have to wait another week or two before I can get my hands on DoD.

Oh I'm with you on that one Maia! Chapters.ca did the same thing! I pre-ordered mine from there and was expecting it to arrive in the mail today. That didn't happen so I went onto the webiste to double check the date, which still says September 1st! I called them up and it turns out they aren't releasing it until Jan. 2010! So now I too have had to order it from book depository which is not a big deal, except for the fact that I would have done it before now had I known chapters were a bunch of evil lying assholes!

I managed to create an infinite loop of inability to start my pc. For a few days now, it failed to recognize my dvd station. Standard procedure: remove some coding through regedit. Did that. Computer asked for a Vista reinstall. Sure, got the dvd right here. It then required me to punch a key to confirm... and then my usb keyboard couldn't do that, because.... it's usb and it is not yet connected at that stage.

Basically, computer says no.

Then, this morning I woke up, went to put in my lenses, and guess what, there was only 1 of them. Shop opens only in 15 minutes, so I'm stuck at work with a lopsided view making me dizzy. It seems september has decided to hate me.

I got the book fine, i was super happy, i saw the postman coming down the carpark with it and was like OMG -runs to door. Then i am reading it all nice and happy.

Until i get the train from nottingham to manchester. I think 'ah i have over 200 pages to go, i will finish that a treat in the 2 hours i have on here'. Well i am doing fine when i hear the dreaded 'This train is now arriving into Manchester Picadilli...'etcetc, i have 10 pages left. I'm in the nitty gritty ending excitement omg whats gonna happen part of the book, and i have to stop and put it away!

This made worse by the fact i have to go to a meal/drinks for my friends birthday, they whole reason i am in manchester anyways, and so couldnt find out the ending! I contemplated staying on the train til i finished, buying a return ticket to manc from whereever i got off, and just being late.

And to the poster above me, ahhh the all too familiar smell of a microsoft disaster =>

Trouser Problems:

1. My trousers are showing off far too much, reason one why I had stopped wearing them.

2. The other, they are silvery mid-grey and whoever designed our office urinals designed them to create the perfect condtions for sprayback, thank god for directional hand dryers

Cougar pissed himself!!

I am uncomfortable due to inappropriate gifts from a student. Not to mention the gift itself is a bottle of perfume that looks like a receptable that didn't make it into the Holy Grail chosing scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for being too gaudy. Now everything is going to be all uncomfortable.

Well quite, I'm having to stand about 2 feet away and at an angle to ensure no further problems. Of greater concern is the fact that I'm about to go into a kind of informal discussion where I'm not afforded the protection of a desk and I'm at about Redknap factor 9 and nobody wants that.

Urinals are the most annoying invention ever. I never use them either unless I have to.

As to what's messing with my groove: Long essay that is long. And hard.

By the way, no, that is not what she said. :p I distinctly remember her saying "get that essay in on time or I will castrate you with rusty bolt cutters, and feed your nuts to crocodiles."

A kinky lass, eh?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
