It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

The one weekend in possibly the entire year that NEITHER Apt nor Trem are in Copenhagen, and I have to pick it.

Absolute. Fucktard. :)

EDIT: Now I'm trying to book a flight tomorrow, and it's all good until the end when it tells me "it is not possible to book that flight, your debit card will not be billed etc."
Tried it with 2 different flights (which SHOULD be available, since they're listed on the search), but no joy. WTF???

Cheers,

La Sombra, off to drown sorrows and perve on hawt Danish women (OK so it's not ALL bad ... :D )

I was going to go to Scienceworks in the city today, to see the Star Wars exhibit, but the queues were as long as hell. So I tried going to the aquarium, but the traffic prevented that from happening. Tried going to the Immigration Museum, but there was no parking allowed. So I settled for the Melbourne Museum....which hadn't changed since I last went there.

Coupled with at least 3 hours cumulative driving I have just about had it. And to make matters worse, my favourite TV program has been cancelled for tonight.

I'm still on hold to the student loan company. Fortunately I'm at work, so I can afford to hold for an hour if I have to.

The bastards try to make contact difficult on purpose, I'm sure. They also stop my payments suddenly without telling me; then if I don't notice I get charged interest while I'm not making the payments that THEY stopped.

Education for everyone is a complete load, if you can't afford it you don't get it, and if you borrow you pay even more.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Not going to be able to get up to Tromso to see Bryn and the whole midnight sun thing. Sadly, any possible cheap flights don't sync with the rest of my schedule.

Plus I seem to be spending money a lot faster than I thought I was. Better be a bit more careful from this point on. 5000 Aussie dollars (about 2500 english pounds; 26000 Norwegian kroner or 21000 danish kroner) in 5 days is a bit much. I'm hoping those problems I had with trying to book flights and getting refused didn't actually send the cash through. :wallbash:
Although if that didn't happen I'm having trouble figuring out how I spent all that cash so quickly.

Cheers,

La Sombra, ah well, it's only 4 star hotels from now on instead of 5 star ... :coffee:

Poor Sombra! I reckon you can get away with a cheap one on Saturday. Just your train fare and then sponge of us lot for the rest of the day. It's the least we can do since you came all the way from Oz! Just don't tell the others I volunteered their beer for your consumption.

Any Fosters that rears its ugly head at the BBQ will be turned into a Moranth Munition. And then Toby will have to drink the whole lot...

Fricking science. 8 weeks growing and prepping stuff and I get to the results stage today. Big fat nothing. So what next? Oo I know! Start again ... again *grumpy face*

What career can I do that isn't 90% trouble shooting?

That's not an appropriate expression of anger and disappointment. You know that. There are ways to talk to your parents/brother/dive buddies about this and even "using" the unplanned restrictions to get more concessions later on down the line.

Current litany of pains: busted knee, busted lip, jammed thumb, jammed shoulder, mostly missing pinky toe-nail and very sore quads. This jiu-jitsu stuff better turn out to be worth it (it is, I'm just grousing a little).
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

A friend of mine from swordfighting died sometime last night, and I only found about it from facebook. Waiting on replies from that circle of friends at the moment, as I want to know what happened.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Painting your toenails will help cut down on grappling-related toenail injuries. I would recommend clear polish.

I recommend sparkley pink nail polish. It'll go with your demon-red eyes.

Are you serious? I'll give it a shot, if you are.

I woke up on the morning of July 4th, with several of my fingernails painted the deep, dark red of Chick Flick Cherry. For the kicker, none of the girls had any remover on them and I ended up going to a date like that.
