Seeing news that Patrick Stewart has died. Dang that sucks.

I think this is the first time a celebrity death has hit me really hard, and I didn't really know what to do with it all day Friday. TNG is "my" Trek, it's safety and comfort whenever the world is too loud, and Picard is my favourite captain by a long way.

Opted in the end for popping the last few eps of Picard on, balled my eyes out again at
Spoiler
and felt a bit better.

Reading and listening to so many lovely tributes from people who worked with him has been both sad and lovely over the weekend. He seemed like a lovely person.

I can't link it seemingly, but there is a great clip of him on the Michael Parkinson show doing "Space, the final frontier" in a broad Yorkshire accent. Recommended for a giggle!
