I chose the name Bubba to throw off the Euro/Brit members.....Not the low IQ swamp dweller the name implies.

Never drinking this weekend ever again.

After about 2 months without beer (tangentially related to Lent, but no explicit connection), my body didn't react to the "resume binging behaviour" actions as well as I'd have hoped.

I suppose its that whole "getting older" thing.

Also, due to the ridiculous weather, the City cancelled soccer tonight.

Mind, i still need to go out into the new tundra to pick up a bus pass.

At least I got most work done yesterday, so I'll be able to nurse my hangover without having to actually work today.

Yeah, it's possible. I was kinda out of it, due to spending 5 hours in front of my laptop beforehand.

I don't do "drunk" well in those conditions.

The actor who played one of the most memorable characters in any movie as died.

R. Lee Ermey, who played the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket.

- "How tall are you private?!"
- "Sir, five foot nine, sir!
- "Five foot nine?! I didn't know they stack shit that high!"

Just (almost) had a discussion with a friend in which his counter-argument started with 'Are you sure you're all right?'. Almost because I refuse to engage in this kind of discussion, which apparently was triggered by me saying a clickbait artictle about D&D and 'white male privilege' was not worth the space it occupied (seeing as it had awfully little to do with the source it cited). Especially messing with my groove is that his anti-intelletualism has been getting on my nerves for the last several D&D sessions. And the most annoying part ist, there's no discussion to be had anyway, because whether I walk away and refuse to comment or lay out my point of view, I get branded a [insert day of the week something-something-feminist] either way. 'Well, how was I to know you'd perceive 'Are you sure you're all right?' as an insult?' Communication, dude, it matters :p

Don't you know? Feelings are the opposite of logic. And women are the "emotional" sex. That's why only men can be objective. Because women have feelings about issues. (And let me tell you, being objective is the noblest calling of all).

It's all there in my book, What Women Will Never Understand About Gender Essentialism. You'll find answers to questions like: Why isn't there an International Men's Day? and: If you're not playing devil's advocate, are you really living your fullest life? (sorry, you'll have to buy my other book to find answers to: Why isn't there a White History Month? and: The PC polices' heads would explode if there was a White Entertainment Television, right?).

Jordan Peterson raves "Full of great arguments you can quote when talking at the women in your life." The ghost of Christopher Hitchens says "OoOoOoOh! This book proves that what's really spooky is women trying to be funny! OoOoOoOoOh!"

Yes, stupid me keeps forgetting :p

To top it all off, I got a 'You know I respect you.'-message shortly after. Yeah, no, you don't, fuck off.

Hey so I thru hiked 1600 miles of the Appalachian Trail last year. There's a nother 600 miles left to complete. I had to get off early cause I broke some bones in my foot.

I hiked with a buddy of mine from Georgia to Mass where we had to get off. We planned on going back in a few weeks but now he can't go back. Should I finish it or wait around until maybe his situation allows him to?

Prevailing Ap' Trail cultist wisdom would dictate that you finish it, then do it again with your buddy whenever he's ready.
