hunted down a few more problems and un needed services. have got my screen resolution back on track and performance has returned a little bit.
I don't see the windows tablet driver in the running tray and cant find it anyway on the system start up listings so could be interesting whenI plug into the Ugee in tonight. I don't want to go through the pantomime I had the first time getting it set up and solving the drift issues

Being at work after a long weekend. Getting Facebook feeds from my friends who are staying extra nights at the cottage we were at.

Depressing.

Found out my older sister is a hard Right-winger with regards to politics (not a social Conservative thankfully), and got into a VERY heated discussion with her about it...which left me shook up and sad. It messed me up enough that I could not sleep that night. I've always looked up to her...

@ Byss: my boss is on a month-long holiday so I'm in charge responsible for troubleshooting any emergencies.

Plus I'm already pushing the limits with my Sept vacation days, so not really in a position to try to get any more time off.

I'm assuming one of those is reasonably hand-drawn facsimile of an image of Ment.

Trumpelstiltskin and his lovely "fire and fury" remarks about North Korea yesterday...I mean, is he actively trying to start a war just to distract from this Russia thing? Or does he really believe that threats are the best way to handle the situation? Should I be building a bunker somewhere, stocking up on toilet paper? Or building a bunker out of toilet paper? :p

Seriously though, this freaked me out.

By now I thought we'd all agreed that you can't believe anything Trump says. That includes threats. He talks and talks and talks. He believes himself to be the greatest most powerful man in the world and naturally this means that when he says spooky words, other leaders will get scared.

There's no more strategy or logic behind it than that. Trump is just trying to sound tough and he's saying words he considers scary and assuming this will make the bad people stop doing bad things.

Broke phone screen. Stupid too, it's in a great drop proof case, is supposedly waterproof, and for some reason I put it on the roof of the car while I loaded the kids bikes in the back.

Went to shut door - and it wouldn't shut. I was having one more go as I realised what had happened... phone had slid into gap... and I was crushing it. In a door.

So now my lovely S7 screen has an injured right side, with fine cracks radiating out. Could be worse, at least it still works. Just not as pretty now.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Travelling. I've been to four countries in the last two weeks for conferences, and it's taking quite a toll.

Trump, his supporters, his voters, and every motherfucker marching in Charlottesville.

And let's throw in the ACLU too for their bullshit 'nazis have rights too' crap.
