You lot have definitely forgotten what life was like without children if you can make out any of this is convenient. I spent most of yesterday evening trying to get cheese out of his eye.

It's like most things, everyone's experience is different. My son slept through the night from 3 weeks, and prior to that only woke up once a night for a mid-sleep feed. And feeding him was easy until he turned three and started having preferences over what he will and won't eat. If you take away the whole 'might have epilepsy' and 'might have asthma' things, he's been an absolute breeze so far. I think people who have kids that sleep well tend to have an easier time of it in general since you're not constantly tired and stressed. I just hope if we have another kid the luck holds up.

My comment on "solid food made by yourself" comes from my sister-in-law's experience with her eldest. She used to tell me that she spent the majority of every morning (multiple hours) getting all the various foods prepared and into containers (be it cooked or otherwise)...but she was feeding her salmon, and little quinoa cakes and stuff, so perhaps she was overdoing it?

That baby ate better than I do now.

But then again I can eat all the ice cram I want, so I am pretty sure I win this round.

Cheese in the eye is nothing. Now orange pulp....
The food thing is as complicated as you make it, but it really really doesn't need to be.

The Cult are playing next Wednesday night and I know absolutely noone else up here who likes them. Or would like them enough to come along with me.

Plus, Wednesday night = school night :p

I thought Loki was cool, a friend. Turns out she thinks Vegemite is better than Marmite. I'm not sure I can get over this...

Of course she's right. Vegemite is the nectar of the Gods, given vitamin B-enriched form.

Marmite - like Baldrick's breath - comes straight from Satan's bottom.
