A motivated (jonesing) junkie with a hacksaw can slice through anything less than a serious bike lock with shocking speed.

Newbie at work has been trained on certain tasks (like our inbound post) and still turns to me when I get in and says 'I have no idea what I'm doing with this'.

I showed her the process last week. And she was trained on it before. Facedesk imminent...

Some people are quicker at picking up new skills or new routines than others depending on the task and learning technique. Might want to write up a step by step process for her that she can refer to when in doubt.

Having a binder with standard operating procedures usually helps.

Maybe so, but with the inbound post, it's been shown several times and it's the simplest thing. Open envelope, log post onto system, send to relevant staff member. Job done. NEWBIE Y DIS SO HARD 4 U

Sounds like you have one of my old colleagues lol.

Show process 10 times, still asks for help...

Speed IS a pretty shocking drug.

Vocaroo's just a website afaik. You record directly onto it, it saves, and you get a direct link to the recording.

Still have to move stuff out of the old house since the people who took over our lease didn't buy the furniture. Did my part on Saturday with my kids and a friend's help. My ex is expecting me to help with her side after work and hasn't got any of her friends to help. Such an entitled bitch. Almost there almost there.

I'm just curious, what's stopping you from (internally) saying "fuck her" and not showing up? You don't owe her anything.

Her stuff, her problem. It's time for her to put on her big girl panties and deal with the consequences of her life decisions.

For extra excuses:
you're sick
Work called you in
Don't have the gas money
Your psychiatrist told you that you are enabling and you need to stop.
Basketball/baseball/chess is on
Waiting for the AC guy
Out of town
Car in the shop
Bike was stolen
Bad batch of kombucha
New batch of sea monkeys AND THEY MUST BE WATCHED

Or even better, combine all of these.

You are sick due to bad food, while working from motel room out of town while playing chess with your psychiatrist during breaks, he is visiting as you ran out of gas money, and then car broke down, the bike was stolen from the back rack when you went looking for help, and you are both waiting for the hotel ac people to fix the ac, and you both have to babysit your psychiatrists sea monekys.

Nope, if the ac is busted in a hotel, in most hotels chances of it getting fixed same day are not very good. Also our psychiatrists suck.

You guys are awesome. I really want to say fuck off. I am almost there. Like everything else tho, it's still a joint problem, since she doesn't want all the remaining furniture and to the old landlady's eye, the furniture is both of our responsibility.

I need just one more signature off my ex (I swear that the damn things must be magical with how many papers require them) and need her to take the Parenting after Divorce class (mandatory for the divorce to finalize). So still playing the long game, sooooooooooo can't wait to tell her to fuck off, but can't yet.

I also found out the debt I thought she had accrued after we separated was accrued while we were together (how many fucking accounts did she run into the ground! Jesus...). Moreover, while getting papers signed and gathering signatures I gather her supposed lawyer never was her lawyer (probably because she never paid him and was using him pro Bono? Still don't understand).

I will try to let you guys know when I start telling her to fuck off or at least drop excuses, for your resolution as well as mine.

Thank you very much UK Government. Changing the rules of my pension so I am now £20 worse off a month as not only am I paying into it, but they have increase my NI contributions to boot, I know that that doesn't sound much but it makes a difference. This has reduced my take home pay back in line to that of 2 years ago. YAY....

Granted I have been fortunate enough that my wife has been able to add £1,000 of her personal allowance to me, but that barely cancels out the difference. I know that there are going to be some people who are going to be pushed below the breadline because of this, its not as though things are difficult enough as it is.
