Stella's not that cheap. Not that good either.
At least, in Canada.

I'm a French/Belgian beer kinda guy, so Stella and Kronenburg are my go-to beverages. I finds 'em tasty.

Do me a favor and go to the Bier Markt and try some of the French and Belgian glorybrews they have and then come back here and we'll talk.

I am not a hipster. Why on earth would I do that?

Get yourself some Unibroue beers. They are right there in Quebec and their beers are AMAZING.

Stella and Kronenbourg will fade badly in comparison to those Unibroue beers.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Stella is mass-produced canned crap. Give me a good microbrew anyday. In fact I might get an order in for some bottles of Black Ven (Lyme Regis brewery). Delicious porter, darker than my soul.

You're not the first person to peddle these to me...my best friend did it first...and I disagree. I didn't like them at all...or felt them overhyped. And none of my go-to beers faded in comparison.

And I'm not a stickler either, I'll pretty much try anything...and in the summer I'll often grab a bunch different kinds (single tall boys) that I've never tried before to bring to the cottage and taste.

But I always come back to my big three: Stella, Kronenburg, and Sapporo. All three of which I drink often and enjoy. Oh, and if I'm feeling matly I'll grab Innis & Gunn.

Meh, I've never been a big fan of microbrews. I'm unsure why. I've certainly tried a lot of them. Hell, we have a whole district of microbreweries in Toronto...but they never impress me much.

That's because Canada is on the North American continent, and we all know microbrews from there are just awful.

If you find yourself in blighty, there are tons of excellent microbreweries. A few larger ones as well (Wychwood) that are pretty good too.

Indeed! Unfortunately, I've had a Guinness in Dublin (Hell, I had many over the week I was there)...and since then nothing that is imported into Canada travels well enough to taste near as good. (note: it still tastes good, but not AS good).

For the record, the Guinness I drank in Dublin was the finest beer (well, stout) I've ever had in my life barnone. If I had a transporter, one of the speed dial settings would be Temple Bar.

If you can chance upon it, I very much recommend Saltaire's Double Chocolate Stout. One of the smoooooooooooooooothest most delectable beers I've ever had. Extremely deep flavour, too. I could drink that for days.

We get lots of imports, so I'll have a look out for that. As I mentioned, I'm always willing to try new stuff.

Fuck The Intercept! Their spy story is going to bring attention and heat down on legit charity groups that are trying to help humanity. None to happy with our leaders for using this kind of cover either. This has potential to get out of hand for innocent groups/people.

I agree with this.

When the story about Osama Bin Laden being identified through CIA agents posing as polio curing organizations hit, the legitimate polio-specific organizations were attacked in Pakistan and elsewhere.

I really, really don't like this tactic of spying and assassinating people because what they are hijacking and putting at risk - the disease, health, and poverty addressing organizations - create so much more good than the removal of the assassination target will produce.

I seem to be crashing out with something. No energy, joints and lower back hurt, and my guts are rumbling out some damn nasty gas. Don't know if it's related to blowing my voice out on Saturday perhaps.

American microbrews are amazing. Don't let your silly British prejudice blind you to that.

I liked it. We also drank at the oldest pub in Dublin (can't recall the name), which I liked too.

My mother is messing with my groove. Of course she is..

When I finished uni, I had plans to register as a freelancer. She threatened me with hell if I do so, so instead I spent the past half year trying to find a regular job (when there are NO regular jobs in what I studied, and naturally, nobody wants to hire anyone who clearly spent years learning something else). So I said 'f*ck it', went to get the relevant paperwork and literally everyone is being supportive - except my dear mother, who just made a huge fuss and threatened me with throwing me out just because I want to work the way my job just happens to be AND the way she damn well knew I intended to work from the very beginning.

So, apparently, it's better to be jobless.

Just because SHE is cheating the finance office and got slapped with too much taxes because her accounting is crap does not mean it will be the same for me.

Unfortunately, I've listened to her crap about the evil bloodsucking finance office for so long, I have problems keeping her stupid biases and my own opinion apart *sigh*

She is also spiraling down further into her special brand of xenophobia. I really can't hear it anymore.
