Hey there, sounds tough Tiste, TRB, Ando!

My story at the moment, my ex-girlfriend is leaving for the US. I live in the Netherlands. I'm worried that it will affect our 3,5 year old son for the years to come. Plan is that he stays with me, but he will miss his mother so much. And also, dealing with his whole upbringinh by myself. :-(

Why has nobody come up with a cure for procrastination yet??? (there's a really obvious answer to this complaint and I'm going to time how long it takes for someone to give it).

I never got around to it
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

So has Roger Rees, a very familiar English character actor. Cheers, West Wing, Robin Hood Men in Tights, and (belovedly) My So Called Life, among a host of other roles.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Got through my speech somehow. I think it went alright. Worry, I tried your angle, but first had a trial run with ny grandma as she kinda helped me and reviewed it. She was not too impressed so it had to change to something actually appropriate. I survived, so its all good. Yeah.

Well, there's always their 60ths! Glad to hear it went well anyway. Post a transcript.

This Sunday is approaching a whole new level of shittiness. I woke up with strange sharp apins in my ribs. Then I had to do the usual weekend heavy grocery shopping and ended up carrying 20 Kg on my back (Thats 40 pounds I think). Then I and my brother had to lift up and hold in place a a 15 foot tree which had fallen in the recent rains, while others tied it in place and propped it up.

After all that I can barely move now. I sneezed and it felt like somebody had shot me.

I wish I could take a baseball bat and beat the economy until a permanent job appears.
I'm exhausted jumping contract to contract with months in between and living on the poverty line.
I'm annoyed that as things stand any chance of a living retirement are gone before they could even begin.
I'm tired of being told that we need all these public job cuts because we need to save the economy. The economy that is based on consumption and spending where I and a lot of others cannot spend because we have no income.
I'm mad that my education has proven near worthless.
I am sick of the private sector only providing low wage, part-time temporary work contracts with no benefits.
I'm burnt out by anxiety induced insomnia.
I'm want to be able to not have a sinking feeling when the first of the month rolls around.
I hope that I'll be able to go to school in the fall.
I pray that with more education, I might finally be able to live and not just survive.
I worry that I'm deluding myself on that last one.

And unrelated, since I got a blast of nostalgia coming on the boards (and I might as well add another thing), I miss Potsherds.

Not entirely sure how to categorize this. Paid a vist to the doctor today. Good news is I lost 2 kg without trying. Bad news is my blood pressure has gone up a lot.

That sounds like a truly shitty situation. Have you tried looking outside the country?

Health insurance. I can't really afford it, but I decided to scrape what I can together because I need it. What do I get for my trouble? They managed to miscalculate my earnings as twice what they actually are and thus the fees as twice as what I SHOULD be paying, and have the courtesy to mail me that info one day before they want the payment.. So going to rip someone there a new one tomorrow.

A bit, I just don't know what the resources are for international job seekers. The best ones I know are the U.N. and LinkedIn. I'll gladly accept suggestions via PM.

A very close friend of the family, someone who helped a lot when my grandmother passed away, lost his mother last night. She was very sick and her organs were failing.

Work.

Here's a process that works. Let's take that process and rush it so that it's now two process running concurrently. Let's further complicate these processes by arranging it so that the one process winds up with a three-week backlog of work due to the second one not being able to catch up.
