Nico, that Norse map site is just fucked up.

I'm sick of not being good enough. At just about all of my pursuits.
Mediocrity is so fkn shit.
I just don't seem to have the time to do anything anymore.
Fuck work.

I saw that all listed/linked out over at Gawker. All happened today within hours of each other. It certainly seems sketchy to have all happened at once.

Maybe Skynet?

Also add this weirdness to the list.

That's some Doctor Who kind of weirdness!

They said it was Randall. He did it all.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

The President: "Is that you doing this, Randall? Are you at it again?"
Randall: "I sowwy."
The President: "D'awww I can't stay mad at you!"
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Has anyone watched the news? What was the cause of the glitches today?

The stock exchange put out that an internal glitch caused it.

United Airlines said a router issue was the culprit that caused a grounding of all flights.

I think they are covering a hacking story, but we won't know publicly for years.

If you're on PC there is formatting help under the text box where you write. There's a list of the various options.

EDIT: Found this in the Malazan subreddit:

and you will get a mouseover bar with a tag like this (NOTE the ] and ( have no space between them):

I'd help you, Ando, but I am boycotting Reddit since the feminazis shut down my Taxidermied Animals Wearing Dresses Candid Upskirt subreddit.

The things you face in a monsoon. We have been having 24+ hours of medium to heavy rain and as a result the terrace gutters got clogged up with leaves. This in turn caused water to pool in the terrace and then it seeped down and started leaking into rooms. All this resulted in an emergency cleanup operation in the pitch dark, in heavy rain.

The rain has only become heavier and heavier as the night progresses. I probably won't be able to leave the house tomorrow

Who will you be talking to, family or friends of theirs or both? A few family anecdotes, recall good times, holidays how pleased you all are that so many are there, wish long life and health to all?

Yeah, family and mostly friends. But nobody wants to sit there and listen to some anecdote they dont care about, or at least that's what I think. Just thinking of how it can be made short and sweet but also not seem like a cop out. Worst part is I cant give it in English so it will be harder for me to say anything.

"Grandma, grandpa. Other grandma, other grandpa. You all had sex roughly 50 years and 9 months ago, an act so beautiful and disgusting that it produced the love we see here today between these two people who in turn had sex and produced me. For you see, a birthday must always conjure thoughts of birth, and thoughts of birth likewise conjure sex. It is for that reason I propose an orgy."

At this point you pause for a response. Regardless of what it is you follow with

"Heh heh just kidding folks. Put your pants back on, Janet. Now I would like to tell you all a story of the time I was in the hospital with appendicitis and my parents showed absolute loving devotion..." or some other such sentimental tale.

Just got word that my gran has passed away. She was 90 and it wasn't unexpected and had been in poor health for several years. Last time I saw her (thankfully recently) I came away with the horrible feeling she didn't want to be here any more. Naturally, both the other half and my Mum are away on holiday and out of contact. For once, I'm glad we're super busy at work, because I can go in tomorrow and just stick my head down and be as antisocial as I can get away with.

Sorry to hear that Hannah. If you want you could come over Manchester way to drink & hang out :ermm:

In other horrible groove messing news in work tonight a call came in about a 9 year old girl who was raped. I'm not part of the team dealing with that one but still. So messed up. ;)

Sorry to hear that. My condolences. I now have a rough idea what this feels like, but it will pass. If your grandmother really didn't want to be here anymore, and if she was suffering, then this is a blessing.

In other news, a repeat performance of terrace clearing in the morning. My city seems to be drowning. Roads have been closed as they are too dangerous. Trees have toppled. The rain has not and apparently will not stop.

On the plus side everybody is taking the day off

Edit: Just got news, a 6 month old infant was washed away and drowned in the street due to severe water logging.

Ando, that's awful.

Thanks everyone, just needed somewhere to say it last night! What Ando said was right and she isn't suffering any more, and it is something of a relief. Off home to look after my Dad for the weekend (Gran was his Mum and he and my aunt are one their own with it a bit).
