Is that a direct sequel to his 12 Inches of Snow album?

IT SHOULD BE.

Snow never got the fame love and acclaim he deserved.

Dude was Vanilla Ice before Vanilla Ice was cool.

...heee, see what i did there....?

March. I hate it with a passion. I hate the name, I hate that it means ends of my precious Winter. Things shouldn't be blooming quite this early but in about 2 more weeks but as was driving I saw all the pretty flowers sprouting from the trees(only thing I like). It's almost 80 now with a low tonight of 34. Huge difference. Fuck March.

Ed: my phone adding words I didn't type or erasing some I did is also messing with my groove making me feel dumb when I read my post as in the above

We just got another 10" of snow here. Feel free to come and take it.

Hmm we can both be jealous of each other today then. Me of your snow and you because today is the 1st day I had to run AC in both truck and home since early November.

Fuck you.

Yesterday was the first day above freezing in two weeks. And then it snowed today.

AC my ass. Just fuck you.

Seconded.
Secondfuck you and your fucking AC. Twice.

It was -25 here this am.
Celsius.
Fuck.

Right now, BK is talking about 27 Celsius highs and lows of 1 Celsius. That's very similar to Kathmandu weather for a good chunk of the winter too.

The difference though lies in humidity - Louisiana is very watery. So if you can imagine a near monsoon like environment for all of the summer, most of the spring and the fall, that's Louisiana.

Living in Calcutta I can. And we are getting 21 minimum and 32 maximum

-25 here. That's MINUS TWENTY FIVE.
DO YOU EVEN GRASP WHAT THAT'S LIKE???!!!
We don't need shovels, we use frozen homeless people to clear our walks.
Squirrels are hanging down from tree branches to and snatch passerbye so they can tunnel into their bodies to stay warm.
Polar bears are moving south for the winter.
...fuck.

Theres your solution then. Just ride a polar bear south.

I've been banned from wearing shorts. Apparently the glare from my white legs was causing plane crashes...

A few weeks ago, I received an injured elbow in a grappling session such that I can't really pull with the arm. I've been trying to grit through the many training sessions since and have succeeded in forcing action away from exposing that elbow most of the time. Only my instructor knows about it and I've kept it hidden from my teammates to aid their tournament preparation and my own ability to disguise weakness.

Tonight, that elbow is paining me something fierce. It got manipulated a few times and I couldn't get out before the taps became necessary.

On top of that, my hip on the same side decided to throw a hissy fit over a near split I did to try and avoid a takedown. My groin muscles were perfectly fine with it, but the actual hip started popping and hurting.

So I have two major joints on the same side not working right and I've several dozen training sessions/workouts to get through before the end of April and my scheduled tournament.

I'm also in the process of changing my game to be extremely pressure oriented and takedown oriented. This is athletic stuff and I'm now at diminished capacity to do it in. Damb.

Sarah left me this christmas. We've been together for nine years and she, I guess she panicked. It was... it has been pretty devestating. It came out of nowhere, and though I know that's said a lot on these kind of situations, it really did. My entire foundation pretty much crumbled. My life, everything I'd imagined it would be, was taken from me and I was left confused, and as the days went by, ever more angry. She wanted us to be friends, to have contact; fuck that. There is no way I can find a way out of this maze if I also have to deal with being reminded of the life I lost.

Thank god for my friends. They've carried me through these last few months, bankrupting themselves - one would imagine - on night outs and strippers in order to keep me more or less on an even keel. The Family has been fantastic too. My 92 year old granfather invited me over for an absurdly expensive Cognac and a long rant on what an asshole she was. On how the things she did proved I was better off. It was good to hear that too.

It's pretty fucking shitty. I know, I know I'll be fine given time. I know this isn't the end of the world and I know that Sarah is not going to be my only true love. I know all that and yet it doesn't feel true.

It's not all bleak though. I bought an apartment last month and it's pretty great. I also lost about ten kiloes through January, which is hardly healthy in on itself, but hitting the gym hard this last month and a half has done wonders. I'm in better shape now than I've been in years. It's not a weight-loss scheme I would necessarily recommend, but at least I've come out of it in a decent shape.

Now all I need to do is find out what I'm supposed to do with my life.

Sorry morgoth. That sucks. Just pretend to keep your shit together until one day you realize you are doing it for real. It eventually won't suck as bad.

The wanting to be friends part is because even though the both of you have hurt each other, she doesn't want that to be the final dynamic - and also to not feel like an awful person who cuts someone so meaningful out of life entirely.

Maybe years down the line, that can be true. But you are right - not now.

That's a terrible thing to experience and it does get better. Especially with a good family/friends network, a good job and a gym to occupy/improve yourself.

You're going about things the right way, even if it does feel empty now and then.

Morgoth - don't go down the route of telling her 'fuck you forever'; it will lead to a simmering and pervasive resentment. It's a very unhealthy situation to be in, and I speak from the experience of someone who did just what I counsel against.

Cliche as it is, give it time. Break off ties for a bit - if you think it's possible you could be friends further on down, then use 'I need space right now' if she makes overtures. Don't pull the Drum.

GMG recently: We had a photo taken at work in the car park recently. Intranet, we thought. Nope. Massive internal rebrand, new logo, and my mug in a group shot went out to all FIVE BLOODY THOUSAND employees. Me with my 2'6" long hair hanging loose and aviators on. Oh lordy me.

Sorry to hear what happened to you, Morgoth. Glad you hear you have an amazing support network.

As the the "fuck that" feeling, that's fine. I find it best to feel it, accept the anger as the legitimate stage of grief that it is, use the anger just enough to keep you from falling too far into the self-pity stage (but not enough to swing into a self-destructive mode), and then as you move through your process, you can let it go. You will get there.

You're doing all the right things. Lean on your friends, get your exercise, eat properly, get out there and socialize. The rest is just time.

You forgot the strippers in your list of the right things. Or were they under socializing?

You are correct. I counted that under "getting out and doing enjoyable things with friends". I tend to prefer going out and eating delicious food, dancing the night away, or listening to live music or theatre, but I figure people have all sorts of different interests. I also can't hold my liquor, so bars and strip clubs aren't really my thing. :D The specific activity is not as important as the people you do it with, I find.

Is Inquisition any good? I really want to play it but can't afford a new console yet and not sure if ps3ing it or 360ing it will be a waste of it's potential.

Do not waste your money getting it on 360. The differences between last and current gen versions are pretty massive. World feels practically empty on the 360. Less customisation options for your character. Bunch of other things as well.

The game is worth buying on PS4/PC (and I assume Xbox One) though. Only real criticism I have is that the difficulty isn't scaled so once you hit a certain level everything is dead easy. Well that and the stupid bloody tactical camera mode which they implemented instead of having tactics like in Origins and DA2 - I HATE stop/start combat! But the game is easy enough that you don't actually need to use the tactical camera...ever.

Story is great, characters are awesome, I've spent over 500 hours on it....possibly more. :S

my boss is a complete dick.

Takes a task off my hands 2 months ago and then has the audacity to try and drop me in the preverbial during a team meeting infront of our Director and Project Manager. He then takes me into a room with the Project Manager and again tries to drop me in it. When i confront him with the fact that he said he woudl take teh task on he flat out denies it.

Well im afraid for him as i have a numebr of witnesses who will testify for me if he tries to write me up on it.
