Well the turnout was colossal as expected. A popular chap he was.
Only about half got in the church the rest, including myself, waited patiently and silently outside for the service to move on to the grave side.
It was eerily comforting. Everybody there just silent.
A solemn, well attended affair.
Pleased all in all.

A piddly complaint: I go back to work on Thursday, after only 4 weeks off.
OTOH, I did watch a ridiculous amount of cricket though - tests and T20.

Good luck Bubba. You will feel crappy for a bit after the surgery, but it should make your life a whole hell'uva lot better.

My Dad sucks sometimes. We forgot to give him the gift for his wife and he sends a text calling us inconsiderate and thoughtless (this after we hosted him for several days, prepared dinner, and tried to maximize his time with his grandkids). I am so close to telling him to fuck off.

Been expecting a code for a group suit hire for around four months now for my sister's wedding, paid for and all. Finally get a message through about it.
Wouldn't you know it, it turns out it's not a group hire which means I have to fund it myself. And being that my means are few, that means no saving for my own wedding for at least two months. Which puts us back substantially being that I can barely save for the wedding as is.
And they wonder why I'm narked about it.

I assume you're part of the bridal party.
Do you mean they're making you pay for your suit at their wedding? That's a bit miserly.

Yes, and yes. I'm going to have words with mother dearest about this because it's not turned out how I was told it was, I need oddly sized clothing due to my thighs (which are roughly the size of a five year old child) and I'm now on a tight time limit with little to no spare dorra.

I should add that it's pretty crucial that I'm part of the groom's party as due to extremely messy family circumstances which I am not prepared to discuss, my mum's husband is giving my sister to me at the Lich King, and I'm then delivering her to my dad at the Citadel Docking Bay.
So if they piss me off, they're boned.

My fence has been blown down.
This is a panel fence that got ripped out of its reinforced concrete pillars about 3 years ago in high winds and was 'repaired' by my landlord. It has withstood all weather since its 'repair' including gusts of 100mph + however it has now been blown out again and it looks like it is not a simple patch job this time.
Oh the fun. Now awaiting a call from my landlord to say what she is going to do about it, which will probably amount to a huge fuck all or fannying about for a few weeks while she decides, in the meantime leaving my garden (with easy access to my back door) open to every Tom, Dick and Harry. Oh and now having the garden off limits to my son therefore restriting his freedom.
Current wind speeds are averaging 45mph (constant speed pretty much) with gusts of around 65mph +
To top it off, im trying to save enough money for a deposit to buy a house so can't afford to move at the moment and the 1 house i could have moved even for a few months (my Uncles) has now been sold.
I am not having a good day as you can tell.

Trouble with immatriculation and signing up for exams. Whoever decided to rip the diploma apart into to separate courses (bachelors and masters), belongs forced into the system themselves.

Been down with a cold for a week now (hence my recent forum activity, not much else to do when you can barely crawl out of bed).. Managed to reread GotM. It's still messing with my groove because I'm feeling like shit and also like I'm losing time I could spent more productively..
