I'd say your field isn't unique in that matter, whatever it may be. I once went through 2 phases of recruitment in banking, and after the third level interview... I'm still waiting. That was in january.

Don't know what it's like out there in the great, big world but in Norway it's considered a good thing to call about the position after the interview it shows that you're really interested and confident a desicive all those lies you tell for a steady income.

They said they'll call or email within 3 weeks. I called after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 5 weeks and 6 weeks, being told every time to wait just a little bit longer.

In the legal field in North America, it's considered extreme faux pas to do that. I'm following up regardless, but that's only because I currently have an ok-paying job (I'm looking for a non-paid position to do the job placement I need to do to get my license), and I have far less to lose than an average person.

EDIT: and I didn't get the job, either. FML.

So an old friend of mine died in a car accident the other day, and now I was in a bad car accident today. My car is totaled and while I hurt like hell all over, and have burns across my chest, I have no serious injuries.

If you don't want to take meds or ibuprofen too much, take a bath every day. Let yourself float for a while. It'll help with the soreness. Otherwise, stay as active as you can (keeps things moving and you'll get over the pain faster).

Also, best of luck with the car replacement process and insurance. Hope you aren't in any more accidents in the future.

And the essay I was working on could probably do with a re-draft before I submit it this afternoon, too(different essay from my previous bitching, if they didn't co-ordinate so perfectly it would've been far less of a problem).

Still, after today I can just crash for the weekend.

Also prepare for this giant project that we are entering into next month, while corporate demands more information regarding a solution you are the lead on, because they just don't understand the technical details of it, and don't believe anyone (including Citrix) about best practices.

I'm currently getting treatment for my hayfever, which is a good thing, but the way it makes me feel is not the best.. It's like hayfever season all over again, except with a hurting and burning arm where I get the injections and a house move on the horizon. I hope I'll be allowed to move anythign heavier than a book by then again [yay, only one shot of concentrated allergens left..] Also, I can't sleep with a blocked nose
