My room is way to cold. The hate you feel when you wake up and it's 10 Celsius inside can't be explained..

I have a pulled muscle that makes sitting in what is usually a comfortable position agony. And also lying on my back is impossible. Naturally, I have a temp Christmas data entry job that is about 7 hours long and 6 hours of that is typing for sixty minutes at a time. Gonna get me some painkillers tomorrow! And I mean some ones that work, from a doctor.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The Ipswich emergency department has a seperate rostering system to the rest of Queensland Health and as such, you almost need a goddamn degree in cryptology just to figure out when you are/aren't working.

Seriously, Queensland?

You couldn't have organised the report sooner?

You fail.

Wow...
Well as long as they don't decide not to go through with it at all...

On a bright note, they will be legal for most of the country. So platforms like Steam, XBL and PSN will probably offer R games.

People who buy themselves things just before Christmas.

The same people who are difficult to buy for, and have only dropped hints about one thing,.. which I have now ordered, paid for, is in the post - and have just seen arrive in the post addressed to her, because she'd been 'meaning to get it for a while!'

Just WAIT, ffs!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

The wife of one of my workmates was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking home last night. They have a four year old daughter too. I feel for the whole family.

And I despise drivers who hit and run.

Damn, that's really rough.

I was coming to moan that I can't sleep and there's no milk for me to have in my tea...

No. I just want to get you something nice, and we both know that were I to get you nothing (tempting as it is...) then I would receive a beautifully wrapped dose of anthrax next year, so you could at least try to be helpful and try to set me in anything vaguely resembling the right direction.

Was just about to put kiddo to bed, and someone shows up to get some help on financials from my wife... and also brought two kids. No bedtime, no quiet, 3 noisy kids. And with my wife distracted the responsibility falls to me. Grrrr.

Sounds familiar. Oh, and if you can't sleep, tea may not be the best choice..
