I've played 100 hours of Skyrim and I still haven't played the main quest beyond Riverwood...... ;)

My brother is in the same boat. I had to convince him to do the first couple of missions in the main quest to unlock dragons throughout the world. And that was 60 hours in.

I'm awake - I went to bed, I fell asleep, I had a strange and unsettling dream, and now I'm awake. I don't want to be awake - I want to be asleep.

If it helps, in sleep and dreams I do believe that Alistair awaits you.

You'd think that but no! Not Alistair, Gothos!!! Hence, unsettling!

Now don't get me wrong, I think our good friend Gothos is just a good deal of attractive and awesome and to be honest the idea of dreaming about him isn't at all unpleasant - HOWEVER, dreaming about Gothos and I taking our kids to the park is somewhat outside the realm of good and somewhere smack bang in the middle of WTF?

Wait, you're dreaming about Gothos? That is so random, and hilarious, and yeah, unsettling. :p

The bruises from my fall on New Years are looking terrible but I dont think ive cracked my forearm like I thought. However one of my toes is severely infected again because of ingrowing and my patented 'go digging with a knife dig out the nail, clean the blood, shower' form of healthcare that stood me through alot isnt working anymore. Severe pain just wearing socks.

Might be time to visit the docto.... yes Skyrim ;)

Oh my. Sounds like you've reached lvl 99 in being friendzoned.

Tbh, the way you said it, she's just using you, and you shouldn't allow yourself to be used like a tool. Think you should say goodbye.

Yup, like most guys I've been there, and Gothos is dead right. She may not have been doing it intentionally, but she is just using you to feed her ego while she either works out what she wants to do about the Outlaw Biker, or works up the ego/guts (which by the way you are feeding) to boink the Outlaw Biker. If you don't shut her down in return, she will come crying to you every time this happens and the cycle of co-dependance will repeat ad nausaum ad infinitum. At least now she knows where you stand so she can't delude herself about what she's doing to you any more.
Cut her from the team bro', don't go out of your way to communicate with her (I call it being "distantly polite") and only hang out with her if it's in a group. Take off and nuke those former feelings from orbit - it's the only way to be sure.

On that note:
It's not just that she'll keep using you - if you keep with her, feeding your hopes, you'll never meet a nice new girl, or even notice one that's already there. It's like you've been sprinting behind someone in a crowd - you now need to stop right there and take a look around to see where the hell you are right now.
If she calls you out on this, just tell her that you owe it to yourself to start living your own life instead of living hers.

Addendum: it may hurt like hell at first, but soon you'll feel liberated. If you play your cards right with this, it might even be one of, if not, the best thing that ever happened to you.

The "distantly polite" group thing is exactly what's happening. And yeah, she did try to call me out on it and I told her I was going off to pursue my own happiness.

^this.

Do not try and preserve the friendship. Do not hold out hope. Do not play the 'be there for her' game. Bail. Be civil. Be polite. Be spending your cuddle time elsewhere.

As an aside, i'm a complete opponent to the 'just tell her how you feel' thing when it comes to dealing with friendzoners. Either you pursue romantically, or you do not. If your feelings change, then your actions have to follow suit. If you're in the dreaded zone, a sudden 'confession' does nothing but ensure a fast trip from the friendzone to awkwardville.

Also this, and once you're hooked up with someone else, be prepared for her to come running confessing all kinds of confusion and repressed feelings and deep rooted sexual desire for you. Feel free to disregard.
Unless there's a workable threesome in there somewhere.

I learned a hell of a lesson regarding the confession game with this. Screw it. Though it wasn't really a "sudden confession" as you put it. There had been definite romantic build and change between us before I said anything.

Abyss beat me to this, since this is almost ALWAYS what happens in such scenarios. Her "using of you" is so deeply rooted that if you found good lovin' elsewhere she would immediately become jealous rage monster. It won't be pretty and you'll need to be prepared for it when it comes, and it will come.

Yeah, I'm waiting for this. I won't take please in it but I will shut it down fast if/when it happens. I'm tired of playing games.

As usual you guys have helped clear my head and cheer me up. Thanks guys.

Someone in my street is using a circular saw - I can only imagine that they are doing so in order to cut someone up into little piece in order to help dispose of the body. I mean, why else would you use a circular saw for at 9:59pm?

I work for a small business who like to mark employees birthdays with cake and cards on the Friday closest to their birthday. That's very nice, right? BUT! The cake and card giving doesn't start until 5.30pm. ON A FRIDAY! And there are now 35 employees which means that we are expected to stay at work until at least 6pm for a significant number of Fridays each year. Post-work Friday drinks here start at 7pm! It is madness, MADNESS. I just want to go home or to the pub as soon as possible after 4pm on a Friday.

Tonight is Christmass Eve. Probably the only time of the year when I do not feel self-sufficient.

and for the second year in a row, i'm spending it away from family.
To make matter worse, both my parents have been having health issues over the past few weeks.

all of it (and knowing I can't do anything, because i'm in another part of the country) is seriously messing with me. I know it's only one day. but still.

Ah, Ukrainian Christmas Eve correct?

I wouldn't worry too much about being away, there's not much you can do about it. It totally sucks though, but as long as you get in touch with them it should help...if only a little.

You have my sympathy sir. It sucks to be away from family on important dates.

Went to post on my mates facebook and found hes talking with one of my ex's from a while back. They got on well when she and I were together and still kept in touch when we broke up but I still somehow feel betrayed still (as I did when I found out they were still friends). This was like a few years ago back and hes a good mate of mine but somehow this has knocked the wind from my sails. Really unsure why. Think its because it was a sort of 'me or her' break up, not by anyones choice it just fell like that as it was messy but still feel odd. Anyway I left a comment on his wall (the original comment I was going to post not a bitter rant or anything ^_^ ) and hope I can one day move on. Really freaked me out that this this shit can still get to me when the girl I broke up with more recently I couldnt care less what happens. Really is odd.

Also Ive had this

playing on repeat for a while and then saw the comment. My my, woe is me first world problems etc but this is just odd.
