A female friend has been acting friendly towards me, but I'm unsure if she is flirting, or just being friendly. Unsure if I should make a move.

Making me a very confused Hobbes, at a time when I need to be focused (three major projects due soon)

Went to the girlfriend's formal tonight. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped-not bad, but I didn't know many people and my girlfriend's boozing friends kept dragging her off, leaving me stranded and such. And we had to part entirely too soon, which is why instead of enjoying her company I am here pouring out my angst onto malazanempire.net :crybaby:

AIJ, next time something like this goes down, get out and mingle. Find some like-minded folk and strike up a convo, at a table, at the bar, wherever. The best part of haring off and doing your own thing in such a situation is that later when your woman comes looking for you, she is:

A. Pleased that you did your own thing and didn't NEED her around.

B. She hasn't seen you enough tonight and want to get to some proper making out later, ravenous style.

C. It shows enormous confidence to her that you are your own entity and won't be stopped by "not knowing" folk. Trust me when I say that confidence is a SUPER attractive trait to the ladies.

I used to be like you back in the day, but in my most recent relationships I have found that when the girl takes off in brief spats to do/go wherever with friends, I just find someone to talk to or walk around and make friends. It's such a better idea than just sitting on your own awaiting her return, cause that paints a saddish picture to her.

I am coughing out massive gobs of green phlegm. So nasty.

This is my kids' first ever year in school, so we have all been continuously sick for the past 2 months or so.

Hopefully by next year everyone's immunity will have built up, because this sucks.

I've never been too Victoria, all I can say is i've been to Australia 2 times, and both times I went to Queensland. I had the best times there. Next time i'll be visiting my brother who lives in Perth and has been offered residency!!



I've been to Melbourne and Cairns, and while I thought Melbourne was quite possibly the greatest place on earth, I'm still extremely jealous of anyone who lives in Queensland. They're both pretty spiffing in my book. Both better than NSW.
I would say, however, that the deadly/poisonous-creatures to people ratio is little (Little? Pfft who am I kidding!?) high.
Though the four mile beach at Port Douglas comes a close second to Melbourne, who's attitude to right hand turns leaves a LOT to be desired!!
