Maybe someone picked it up and took it to lost and found. It's what I'd do if I didn't just leave it there.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Lost and found is the most likely place - if you find it and you're a christian, you hand it in because keeping it would be stealing and wrong. If you're not a christian, you dont want a crucifix so you dont keep it anyway, and either hand it in or leave it for someone else to pick up later.

Unless they melted it down to sell as a gold/silver bar. But that'd look shit on a necklace so it's probably not for the best to get that back anyway. So really, odds are you'll get it back. :p

I'm all out of sympathy, I think I am a bad friend :D

Don't tell me, you have a friend who has problems and you sit and listen and give advice. Then some time later, they come back with the same problems (having not taken any steps to fix them since last time), so you sit and listen and give advice. Then some time later, they come back with the same problems (having not taken any steps to fix them since last time), so you sit and listen and give advice. Then some time later, they come back and ........... the cycle continues for the rest of both of your lives until finally one day you think, "F*CK OFF WITH YOUR STUPID POINTLESS PROBLEMS THAT YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO FIX!!!!!"

I don't know anybody like that.....! It makes them a bad friend for putting you through that shit :D

Messing with my groove, I made a stupid mistake and carried it through 3 weeks worth of experiments until somebody else found it!! I hate feeling stupid.

yeah kind of, except it isn't a little stupid problem, it is something that could be quite serious and they aren't doing anything to help themselves even though they will say that something is going on. How do you help/support a friend who is in trouble but wont do anything to help themselves?

i had a simmilar problem last year... (and it still messes with my groove manly beacuse i wont for ennything forget it):
i go to a spesial class due to my relativly minnor "issue" (apergers syndrom) i had two classmates, one with ADHD and forced thoghts (i dont know what it is in english, but its a issue where you get this thing you HAVE to do) and he always asked personal questions and got upset if he dident get a answer (and he ofeten asked more than once too ofen up to ten times right after eachother) and the other have realy reduced sight and the worst selfrespect i have ever seen...
this went as it had to do...
he with ADHD piced on the girl with the reduced eyesight and pushed her selfrespect to the ground and the teachers dident manage to stop him, even before this enterd the climax (and even before he beagan picing on her) she thoght that she was a idiot... she was not. she wasent the brightest but she was so convinced that she was crap in all classes that she hardly managed to do enything at all and she had minor breakdown (she started to say that she dident manage to work/answer/understand) during class...

i tryed to calm both sides down (and suported the girl "undercover") beacuse i dident want to be peced on by the other boy.
to comlicate thing EVEN FUTHER i think she was in love with me and the boy had already exlamed that i was in love with another, she dident get better after that (and in truth i did get the impresion that she was in love with me afer the boy had told that i was in love with anoter one.)
i had no feelings other than those for a friend to the girl...

end of story:
she changed school, have met her once after that and since her sight is just over the border she had bought a scooter that she had wanted a long time...

this happend last year
i want to see this world where T'lan imass kneels

forced thoughts=obcessive-compulsive in English

lost and found didn't have my crucifix. that's messing with my groove as I got it from UA and it's as much a symbol of grandparents as it is a religious icon.

Ouch.

Hope there's nothing more than the bruises.
I'm hoping the van driver was arrested?

Think of the trauma the accident cased you and call injury lawyers! get a stack of money!

I too was involved in an accident last thursday. I got hit by a car with no driver in it. I was parked at the bottom of the hill looking up client details and talking to our helpline and I say a green blur filling my windscreen. My mental alarm bells went jangling and then Bang. A ford focus went into the font of me and stoved in my bumper grill and radiator. The other car was locked and the handbrake was on. Luckily the other guy (never met him, cop told me the details) is fully insured. The bad news is that I am now driving a toy car (Fiesta) and have had a headache for since the accident.

It bums a bit, but hey ho!
souls are for wimps

Hope you feel alright after letting things set for a while Centzon! Wishing you a quick recovery!

Thanks guys!!! :D

I have mild whiplash and half my butt is a purply/black colour. Should be fine in a couple of days, unless I start showing neurological symptoms like randomly punching people in the head or something. Then I get to very quickly get to a hospital. SO I have a sore neck, a lovely limp and it startles me every time I sit down :D

As far as I know the van driver was not arrested, but he will cop a huge fine and may loose his licence.
