The build up really hit with a vengeance today. 38 degrees and a bazillion percent humidity. Truly ghastly. Everyone was snappish, not helped by fuckups with work procedures and finishing 2 hours after we were knocked off because we had to do other peoples work for them.

In line with other American football related groove messing, I'm gonna go with the fact that the 49ers haven't won a single thing yet. And the Chiefs are playing well. Nothing against the Chiefs but the guy I live with is a huge fan and he is insufferably smug about it about it all the time...

Ryder cup victory would pump me up a bit but Liverpool is messing with my groove big time. They are a big club with great players yet the manager and owners are awful and bringing the club down. Yeah it doesn't affect me personally but it does make me feel sad.

i wouldn't say the manager is awful, just that it will take time for your pampered prima donna players to realise that if they listen to him, they will improve dramatically. His start at Fulham wasn't so great either, but once the players listened, they became hard to beat, and then massively overachieved. If he's given time, i think he'll manage to do the same at Liverpool. (he managed to do this at Fulham, Finland, Switzerland and even Inter Milan despite their terrible set-up at the time).

people have said this, and said he is a builder of teams. Over his whole career he has won nothing. Nada. Squat. Liverpool weren't a team to build, we where a team to manage. 2 points here, 2 seasons ago we finished second, losing Alonso was the pivotal point in the turn around. 2 point, when weplayed Man City away a few weeks ago they set up a 4 5 1 formation, Hodgson couldn't see we were over run in midfield and did not respond to the formation or the tactics of Mancini. Rafa for example would have changed things to 4 5 1. We stuck with 4 4 2 and got nothing out of the game. I lost any faith in him here, the derby is coming up next I am dreading it!!

There's this Europe History trip next year, and I really want to go on it. The bad thing is that it costs around $7000 and my dad doesn't want to go through the stress of managing the cost. He alos thinks it's not "educational". I would willingly help pay for it but he is really reluctant at this stage. Added to that, there is a $1000 initial payment due at the end of the week. I fucking hate this shit.

This is messing with my groove to no end. Just thinking about the way Liverpool's playing now is giving me ulcers and pest boils. Hodgson might turn things around given a few more months, but the team will never be good enough to challenge for the title under him. And they'll never play Liverpool football under him. Even Rafa and Hullier was a better fit with the Liverpool way. I was sort of impressed with the signings he made this summer, but now I've fallen back on my old reservations for him as a manager.
